Narrated, how to video on setting up a certificate authority using XCA and installing it on an apache server and importing the CA into the certificate store.
Thank you for your video! I tried to create my own certificate structure for my self hosted stuff and somehow I failed at making my certificate being accepted by edge due to the CN being wrong (even though that wasnt the issue). My mistake: Using "URI:..." instead of "DNS:..." Thank you! :)
Very useful video! I'm using XCA now to configure my certs for an embedded controller and your video explained almost exactly what I needed - thanks Larry!
Thanks so much for the tutorial very helpful. BTW you can view the PEM and Key files in Notepad just select "View" then " Word Warp" . It should remember that setting from then on.
Nope. This server is an internal CA. If you have a public website and want the others "to trust it" then you need to get a certificate from a public CA. Feel free to correct me guys if I am mistaken but this is how I understand it.
The website in the video? It is an internal demo site not exposed to the public. If you mean the XCA software you can download it from sourceforge.net/projects/xca/ I have seen this site as well hohnstaedt.de/xca/ and I think it is the authors site not sure, it has later versions.
