lot of cool things here, I recommend using the crop tool and a transform node to position the logo. It works about 1000% better than doing the resize thing he does in the video
I have a 13900K + 4090 in my system, I tried exactly this effect with a logo with all the same settings and numbers you used, it is extremely laggy when playing back in the edit timeline. Is there no way to make playback smoother? Footage is 4K. Is there a Resolve setting I should have to make this optimal? Or is the only way to see it smooth is to actually render it out in delivery first?
and one more question what did I do wrong that my logo doesn't disappear, it burns, like sand not flame (but that doesn't matter) I don't know why it doesn't disappear
It took me like 2 hours to get this right (a lot of stopping and starting the video after each sentence) I think I got it, but the playback is so SLOW. How do I fix this, and how can I use it under the Edit tab once I'm finished? (It won't play under the edit tab) Did I miss something? I don't want to start over, and I really love this😅 ❤ thanks for the video
Thanks for the comment! Yeah, it can get pretty slow depending on your computer's memory. But you can export it and then put it back on the edit tab. Follow these settings: Format: Quicktime Codec: DNxHr And then check "export alpha" right under the frame rate. Please let me know if it helped!

When I create the polygon and then around 2:36 try to change the border width and use deinstance that option is not available in 18.6. Is it now located some place else?
Thanks for the comment! With your instance mask selected, you have to right click precisely where it says "border width". If you click on the sliders it won't appear. Let me know if it helped you!
Hey, great video and thanks for sharing it. I'm having a problem about particle shapes. I think i did exactly same steps but on my edit; my particles are more like dust. Not like as wavy as yours. Which part I'm missing? @leodiaseditor
@@leodiaseditor It didn't work, I tried like 6 times now but the dissolving thing is happening behind the logo. Does it not work in PNG format logo as my logo is in PNG format. Help me, I was so close.

@leodiaseditor, why did you do all that nonsense combining two masks with the xOr into a bitmap? You can just right click and drag a mask straight into the garbage matte input of the mattecontrol node without making it a bitmap, It will give you a little menu of which input you want it to go into when you right click instead of left click. Is there something else I'm missing that the weird mask into mask into bitmap thing is useful for? That just seems completely unnecessary unless you were trying to work around the way fusion automatically pipes masks into the effect mask input of every node and you didn't know about the right click menu.
is there any ready plugin for this efect ? which is just drag abd drop in fusion and replace logo ? if you do that and sell it you gonna be reach leo :D
nope! there is no fusion comp in the effects drop-down! = effects > effect > ! ok got it! you need to explain = edit tab, then you will have those drop down options. sorry your sequence is back to front. get your sequences in order = could not follow along
Funny, but I just saw the exact same video somewhere else. Yes, the steps, the spoken text, even the values are the same. What a coincidence? haha... Kredits to @ThatModernDude, except he showed the effect 1 1/2 years earlier.
