@@Vancittyy RU-vid pays creators when an advertisement is shown, not based on how long it is watched. This is mainly because RU-vid gets paid by companies to show their ads, rather than be paid by companies to get users to watch the entire ad, if that makes sense. tl;dr just seeing an ad gives creators a small amount of money. CPM varies throughout the years and between creators.
One of the big differences I notice with your tutorials compared to others is that you remember to explain shortcuts and basic work flow in each video as if someone is watching your videos for the first time who may not know these tips. I love your videos and I'm learning so much so fast thanks to you..
I love each and every tutorial video you publish. You're a great teacher and you never assume we know, you simply say what you're doing and how you are doing it. Always a good view. Thank you
Thank you so much for taking the trouble to make these videos. Very clear explanation. Worked perfectly. I learnt Inkscape from your Inkscape tutorials. May God Bless you.
Yet another great tutorial, Nick! I'd even go a little further by repeating the last step and using a different blending mode such as Screen or some such to create some specular highlights in the texture to make the gold material pop out even more against a dark background.
Just want to say love your videos man, they are very easy to follow and you have one of those easy to talk to voices also which helps! (NO HOMO), thanks for all your help
this was fun and helpful, thanks. i had a hard time smoothing the gold out, mine was more crackly than yours, my brush was way too large , and my movements were choppy instead of fluid. not sure why. i also chose to use other words than you did, so my centering had more of the dark colors in it. but it was fun and i've been learning a lot by following these tutorials, thank you. it's super empowering.
Here's a tip - If your writing is longer, you won't have much height into the gold gradient where it darkens, creating a flat colour. To give more contrast, click on the gold texture layer, then Scale Layer. Unlock the Width and Height from each other and scale the height from 852 down to something like 350, depending on your font.
Your channel is such an incredible resource, you completely opened up this amazing software, I literally can't thank you enough. Have you got any ideas on how i'd make like a shiny mirror surface?
This video is awesome I ended up using what I learnt and adapted it to change a logo I really did not like to something I modified and I am proud of. Thank you so much for your help. Would not have been able to without this video!
Khulekani Christian Mjwara Hey, in all honesty it was a while ago and I have not changed my logo. I used the latest version of GIMP. Sorry I could not help anymore.
How do I then remove the gold and black layers so I can add this one word with no background to another design, while still keeping the gold? Thank you for the tutorial.
Your videos are so helpful. I really appreciate your knowledge of the program. I would love a tutorial on the best way to create a gold print texture for a t-shirt design in inkscape. Thanks
These videos are fantastic and have helped me with doing so much using GIMP, keep up with the awesome work. Is there a chance you could do a video on how to distress/weather text/images?
Could you put a gold paint design onto an article of clothing through standard screen printing? Or would heat transfer be better for something like this?
Tried it - followed every step. When I do alpha to selection and delete the text layer - Nothing happens. I get no nice selection as in the video - I press x to delete the text - I press delete on the black layer - nothing happens. Can't proceed.
Hello, can you make a video tutorial about JOKER face makeup? i started to use GIMP because it's a free open source. I used Photoshop few years back. I get confused with menus and tools during editing.
