You forgot to use a long straw to make a more realistic tornado! Use food coloring, then extend the straw down to the bottom, and let the bottom debris swirl around the end of the tornado.
Always excited to watch your new videos! Mr. Shanks, may I ask how you did the post-production works for your previous videos? E.g., Cloud tank & Dry ice comet? I've recently started running a high school film club consisting of 25+ students. We have many beautiful shots but are still struggling to get the post-production work done. So I figured I should ask the person who inspired me to start this club, you, to perhaps guide us. I hope this message gets to you, but til then, keep up the wonderful work :)
+American International Filmmaking Club Thanks guys, like I said in the comment above, this is a great video to get a better idea of how the post production process works. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--VG8MKdvcE8.html
+Diego Chalita Thanks Diego, that is something I should have tried, even though tornado would have looks wider on bottom and thinner on the top. Wanted to shoot some ground elements with just dust spinning around the tank but was under the gun with deadlines to get this video done.
+Shanks FX Yeah, as a concept video, it is really great work!! It really sets the base for what can be done with this, and makes me less afraid of experimenting and writing in great stuff like tornadoes and other world-type locations (from your other videos) into my scripts knowing that these are things that can be done within a realistic budget. So, thank you!
+edwin reyes Rebuilding the Interstellar Black Hole "Entire Production" process will give u a good insight into how I composite these clips. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--VG8MKdvcE8.html
