Here are updated videos of how I use my prayer Bibles: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W_olJHW-MEk.htmlsi=kolEhBPStQ1kb6CA ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6x67xA2aEbs.htmlsi=UeQHUXokq61ddpch
Yes the Holy Spirit i believe led me to watch Sisteritas channel as I wanted to grow closer to Father God as I prayed and renewing my mind was clear, through scriptures. Now that I'm seeking these tools yoir video popped up also. I need giant print. 😅
Thank you so much for checking out Jessica's Sisteritas video. It is so awesome. Of course, thanks for watching my as well. I hope you enjoy your prayer journey as you get your prayer Bible together!
Hey Kelly, The Sisterista Club vid came across my feed last week and I binged watched all the videos 😂 I started going through my stash and began making tabs using scrapbook paper, cardstock, tab punches, dies, stickers, etc.
I really like your take on making a prayer Bible. I especially like your idea of putting the sticky notes with the prayers on them with the verses. I would love to see a video in five or six months of how it's working. Great video!
I love how you are using the smaller NT for those prayers that will likely be more ongoing. I’m not interested in making a new prayer Bible every few years like Sisterita does when prayers are answered so I’m trying to be even more thoughtful with my planning. One video, maybe from Cat Woods, said that these prayer Bibles have been around since at least the 70s, which makes sense because that would have coincided with the Jesus Movement and the explosive growth of Calvary Chapel. It does make me wonder if anyone other than pastors wrote in their Bibles before then!
I dont plan to have a new pocket Bible every year either. I feel like my added sticky notes will allow me to remove older prayers and add new ones to the same Bible. I can even keep the sticky notes in a journal.
My grandma always wrote in her Bible, but I don’t know when she started the habit. She obviously didn’t have the tabs like they have now, but she had a lot of bookmarks.
I really like the way you explained how you going to do your prayer journals. I just subscribed. I could listen to you for hours!!! God Bless you and I can’t wait for your next video ❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi! I just started doing prayer bibles too! I use the Strongs Enhanced Exhaustive Concordance for study. It has all the words in the kjv Bible , Hebrew and Greek, with where each word is found in the Bible and the many meanings of each word. It’s so amazing to study the Word with this! It has opened my eyes and ears to the various meanings and multiple layers of God’s Word. I realized that even words I was confident I already knew, have meanings that completely surprise me. Anyway, I’m excited to work in my Prayer Bibles-as of now I have one for praying for my grandchildren and one for me. I’d like to get one that will be for praying for all the men in my family and one for all the women in the family.
Oh wow that concordance sounds amazing. I love the purpose you have for your prayer Bibles! I believe your family will be blessed from all of your prayers. Thanks for sharing.
GREAT video! I found the Sisterita’s two days ago and I have been gathering supplies for a prayer Bible too. Today is my day to begin. You really got bang for the buck with the supplies you ordered! I love both of the Bibles you ordered but the black compact is my jam too. Thanks for sharing all of this. I am now a new subscriber. ❤️🙌🏼
Hi God Bless You. I watched the same lady you mentioned and was inspired to buy a Bible for prayer too. Anything that can bring me closer to God I am excited to try.❤
Oh wow! I always wanted to visit Australia! Thanks for watching my videos. I hope your prayer Bible comes together nicely and is a true asset in your prayer life!
Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts. I appreciate you. I came to visit your channel from Peace of the Plans’ channel and am learning more about the new name of what we used to just do… it’s really cool and neat. I think the vest pocket “tiny teal” is cute!
Thanks so much for checking out my channel Jen. I am loving my tiny teal as well. I hope you learned a lot from my video and it got you excited all over again about Prayer Bibles. Since you used to do this - are there any differences in how you prayed/studied scripture using your Bible?
@@PrintPraySlay I’m new to the Prayer Bible method so I might get things confused with vocabulary, but after going through adding some tabs to my Bible for a few verses related to “peace,” as a way to help me reduce anxiety and stress levels. I am beginning to think that this might not be that different from what grandma did, and by extension what I have done since the 90s, except for the level of detail that we all might go into for different things and different reasons. Like looking for peace, rather than stress or worry verses, because of knowing how I am and that I do better with knowing that His peace is sufficient for me rather than the equally good and valid point that worry doesn’t add to the day we are in. I can relax more and release my tight grip on life with the peace verses, while for some reason I feel like I have to hold on more with the don’t worry verses. Just for one example. In the past, I also used to go to a church where the Sunday school had a series of booklets that we read and would have exercises to study the Bible as well. That was a Nazarene church near the school for pastors, so many of the students were members of the Sunday school too. It was interesting for listening to and learning from, but they didn’t tend to want to learn from the women students in the Sunday school class. It was a difficult time for me as a person who had been taught that I was not destined to be different from the other students in the class at school. I took a break from the class and the church for a while, though not from my relationship with God and Jesus. So I don’t know much about what the war binders are that someone else mentioned in a different comment. But it seems like the study notes that one keeps for Bible studies, which I think were more of a SOAP style as it was way before the verse mapping came along, though we were encouraged to imagine the scenario of the passage too (though that may have come later in a different context ).
@@bookhuggahthis very well may be what your grandma was doing in the past and if so that is amazing! I have journals as well and some people call them war binders. I believe that a creative way to document your faith walk with the Lord is amazing and it can be in your Bible, a journal and many other ways. I just want people to enjoy their time with God, document it and share it with others for inspiration. Enjoy!
The tiny Bible reminds me of Gideon Bible the Gideons used to give out. I received one in 1977 waiting in line to go in to take my nursing state boards; I could see the print then lol. Looking forward to your videos.
LOL yea I can imagine the print reading a bit different as I get up there in age. My compact (black) Bible has a nice size font. My Tiny Teal is a lot smaller. Thanks for watching and looking forward to my videos.
Kelly, thanks for this ! Like you I’ve been watching a lot of videos and researching this tool. Your video has helped me choose the supplies! Be blessed ❤️
@@PrintPraySlay it really did! Question: did you ever read the Bible chronologically? If so, was it using a specific chronological Bible? I want to do that this year so I’m researching which Bible translation and format others enjoyed.
@mildredjohnson1241 funny you asked! I am reading the Bible chronologically right now! Im in Deuteronomy and i just released a new Bible study journal where you keep yoir notes chapter by chapter. I have a few videos up about the journal and a ton of videos features my favorite chronological study Bible! Awww thanks! We are definitely sisters and that term is near and dear to me since I'm an old child. Glad you are learning about prayer Bibles and thanks for subscribing.
Appreciate the sticky note idea. I have Sisterita also. Ordered my Bible. Am thinking of locating all the prayers in the Bible then consider who I know that needs that prayer.
I just subscribed you are awesome and you are so wonderful and your voice is delightful. I too am kind of new to the Sisterrita group! I have lots to learn! I will learn along with you. Oh my I could never read this little Bible, I am definitely mid 60’s kind of lady.. Yes on the Message Bible. I have a parallel that has 4 various translations and Strongs numbers.. It is a great study Bible. Thank you for your efforts and sharing with this.. the post-a note kind of ones that are squareish…. And way attach them to the middle margin and then you can lift it and see what is under it. Yet still have a note in there. Square is perfect because You can write in any direction. Just a thought.
Hey Cynthia thank you so much foe subscribing. I have really enjoyed my prayer Bible! I have a few more videos about it on my channel but I want to share more soon! I am taking it step by step with each subject and love that flow for myself. The added post-it notes help me with my studies too! Since this font is too small for you I recommend a journaling Bible instead. Some even have large print.
Ohhh Tiny Teal that's so cute 😊! It's always Meiko 😂😂. I really enjoy the NASB translation! Everything is beautiful! I need to hop aboard this train. I don't know why I always feel like I can't do creative things. Thank YOU for the encouragement. Let's Do This!
Hey Michelle! Thanks so much for watching and inspiring me that evening. You are creative and so much more - I see how you keep plants alive whew! AND YES - ALWAYS Meeko ugh lol. You should definitely give prayer Bibles a go! Let me know if you have questions.
Great haul, Tiny Teal is so cute, but I have old eyes. Still working on writing down prayers but I would love to pray scriptures thanks for sharing will check out the video
You can do it! Just find the right Bible for you. It doesn't have to be a compact or pocket Bible. You can use any Bible to pray scriptures. However, my black Compact Bible is large print!
Love this video. I just received my compact Bible and I ordered the tabs from Amazon and AliExpress. I look forward to future videos on how this process is going for you. Anxiety is the first topic I plan to start working with. ❤❤❤
Ok! I am so excited for you. I hope you enjoy the process of putting it together. Anxiety is a great topic to start with! Many struggle with this including me.
I remember when we would get these bibles in school from the Gideons when they would visit our school, your smallest Bible. Dates me, doesn’t it? That was the day when God was still allowed to be in schools
Yes! Somone else said the same thing. I have never seen a Bible this size before. I think it is just the cutest thing. Please check out my latest video showing how I put tabs and highlited my scriptures in this Bible.
@@PrintPraySlay I will definitely watch your next video, I so enjoyed this one, and planning on taking a new adventure with you. Thanks for sharing with us

The highlighters I use are linked in the description. I also use mildliners. However each Bible is different and you should do a test before using them.
