❤ You saved your life, Dr.Peterson simply gave you the tools to do so. A helping hand perhaps, but don't take that away from yourself. Remember who's helped you, but realize it's a combined effort and one person cannot do all the lifting.

Thanks to Jordan Peterson I do not have any regrets in my life. Im now married and a mum. Hoping to have more children but have to work out our financial status first. Watching this video because I need to do part time work while taking care of our toddler.

Day to day schedules are extremely difficult. Yes, the long term schedule is easy: Dentist appointments, Doctors appointments, holidays, birthdays, paying bills... all those things you can _almost_ go without a schedule. Daily schedules are extremely difficult as there is a fluidity to the day that tends to sidetrack, delay, and derail. infact i am STILL at "level 1" scheduling where i use 1/4 of the back of scrap paper as my daily scheduler. I write down all the tasks of the day and scratch off the ones that have been completed; throwing away the list at the end of the day. Most of the time I've only gotten a fraction of those tasks done and so will not go to 'level 2' scheduling which is a spiral notepad that keeps a log of all things attempted, and completed. So... i am trapped in chaos atm. There are further levels beyond Level 2 such as established maintenance schedules by day, week, month, year and beyond; but as long as I am stuck in the chaos of level one, all that will have to wait. Yes the goal appears quite complex, but its not really as the sole purpose is to create more room for play (where the chaos belongs - not within what is necessary work).

@@Chibblechabble "Working Hard" and getting nothing done is thegiven state of most of us in this era. With a schedule, you will see how much you _really_ get done and thus alos know how much lying you do to yourself. if your gonna shoot for being like 'Abel' and be on the other side of the Pareto Distribution, having a schedule is a good place to start. You nailed it. Peterson mentioned wisdom from negotiation in an intimate relationship, leading to psychological transformation. Well, some wisdom and transformation may indeed be "caught" or at least started right here with such an array of input! Parts in the brain lit up and ideas connected as I follow the lecture. Yes, that's what made his classroom lectures classic! 😊

It’s not so much making the schedule….it’s keeping the schedule - the dog gets sick all over the house, the boy glues the girls fingers to a Barbie, the neighbor catches me on the way out and won’t stop talking - I understand the value of a schedule, the world does not.
@k.w.6304

Yeah, I've learned that my schedule is more of a focousing or organizational tool than an exact daily plan. Especially when toddlers are involved and chaos ensues. 😆

Thank you again for another inspiring talk. I had a thought. When you said that deaf and mute people have no words and still representation… I thought of Helen Keller. She describes her younger years as having been almost like a dream - blurry, aimless, hard to even remember. When her teacher taught her words, it was like waking up, coming into consciousness… were it not the words that made her capable of ordering events and making concepts?
@RilkeForum
@RilkeForum 2 месяца назад
You could argue that there was still representation in her before that, like a pre-state of consciousness. That words only helped her. But is that true? Did the words not rather cause her to finally create concepts? Were they nor necessary after all?
@RilkeForum
@RilkeForum 2 месяца назад
Then you could argue that this is only one personal account. Yes, but at least it is one. It is not a scientific or psychological supposition or assumption, but an actual account. Has it been changed over the years? Maybe. But do we remember ourselves as children or is it all made up? I don‘t think it is all made up. I think she can remember the transition in a rather good way.

I try to use yoga nidras and a couple naps per Andrew Hubermans advice. It can take a while to adjust. At night I take magnesium glycinate to help me get to sleep earlier and to get longer uninterrupted sleep. I now try to be very careful to protect my sleep schedule because it’s so hard to get back on track.

Have somewhere to be or something to do early. Try to get to the gym when the doors open, without any pressure to work out. When I started I was inspired by Jocko's "I wake up at 4:45 to get ahead of the enemy". Don't be afraid to go to bed stupid early when it feels like the thing to do. Cut out caffeine after noon.

Get employed
@mrPS3TV
@mrPS3TV Месяц назад
Cut out eating sugary junk foods, drugs and alcohol Then, fill your day with physical and mental activity. Physical e.g. sports, gym, martial arts etc. Mental e.g. schedule study blocks throughout your day where you plan, research or study. This is also essential as it tires out your brain, readying it for sleep at night. Although, the above comment that said get employed maybe nailed it. I only gave a substitute

Not sure about "fair," but productivity and generosity are certainly top criteria that women seek in a potential mate. Because of the modern dating paradigm, most women have an abundance of options, which means the opportunistic-seeking ones have an easier time exploiting naive men for their resources. And a lot of men are oblivious to this, since most men operate from a position of sexual scarcity.
@alenaadamkova7617
@alenaadamkova7617 3 месяца назад
Its interesting that the "ideas" are spread true or untrue that men seek only the sexual scarecity, not the love and intimacy scarecity, like true love and connection. Because in no video you hear "man is chasing love"..as some relationship coach said Yoiu never hear someone would say "man is a hunter because he is chasing a commited relationship and love and appreciation for her parents who raised her" its only "man is a hunter because he is only chasing a sex" Because as Sam Vaknin said in Social dillemma video. Facebook´s greatest competition is if a husband is in love with his wife, because Facebook wants his eyeballs to look at adevertisement because he said "love and intimcay" is an ultimate addiction, healthy addiction, which reduces the need for othera ddictions like gambling etc.

Water does not save you? How about the consecrated words that reside in the water and are delivered to you once the water touches you FROM A VALID BAPTISM in Christ? Would that meet your standards? People love to select what part of God Almighty they feel works for them. Sorry, you don’t tell God Almighty what to do. The truth does not care about your ignorance or feelings.

Only Jesus saves from hell. The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV). Jesus shed His blood for our sins (Ephesians 1:7 KJV). Water baptism DOESN'T save us (1 Corinthians 1:17 KJV). We are saved by grace through faith, not works (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV).
