Om Shanti. Accept yourself means we need to understand that we are eternal souls who have come into the cycle of birth and death several times. In each lifetime we have created healthy and unhealthy sanskars due to our circumsantces, environment, upbringing and so on. This understanding lets us be loving and respectful of ourselves. And this love and acceptance empowers us to make sincere efforts to finish our unhealthy sanskars, thereby changing ourselves. Otherwise if we do not accept ourselves, we start disrespecting and disliking the self. This negative energy will make us weaker and we create more wrong sanskars like insecurity, comparison, pain, worry and hurt.
