Thanks man! I REALLY appreciate the feedback and critique! You're completely right about being able to optimize effects, and I could probably do with doing another round of refinement to the process for the sake of making a more concise tutorial, will definitely bear it in mind for upcoming stuff! One thing with the fractal noise though, once the contrast and brightness are set to the values to get that dust kind of texture the invert setting doesn't do what we'd expect it to do (at least for me anyway!) hence why I chucked the invert effect on top. Although after testing it again I found cranking the brightness really high would get the desired result!

@@MographMill yeah sometimes the Fractal Noise is a bitch, I forgot about what you say, damn. Anyway I didn't want to sound fussy. It's that from a practical perspective I try to use less effect to achieve the same result to save render time for clients projects. I pointed out these things because the projects you show in your tutorial are already really good, creative and offer really new cool techniques to use! :D

I'd export this text with black backround, reimport it to to a fresh compositon with the you're footage putting it ontop of, luma key out the black and go from there. Botchy workaround but worth it you don't wanna do the brain work hahah
