When someone is putting a video to try and help you, you shouldn't be so rude about it. This could be useful for people who haven't read or don't know the 1973 publication and also with advances in technology and thought processes, the system could of also changed. Don't go freaking out on him for trying to be helpful, don't post stupid comments, just close the page or go to another video and move on. Simple as that. I for one appreciate this video as it has helped me organize things better.
Michael I love your book and have implemented it fully on MS Outlook including viewing this video every Thursday (Normal) "Opportunity Now." Your work has helped me master the influx and wide variables of the work I do. I'm grateful for books like yours that have meat & potatoes rather than simply fluff. ~ Jeremy Snowden
Michael - Good stuff! I love your focus on the urgency aspect of our mental models. This is reminiscent of but an improved version of Stephen Covey's Importance / Urgency matrix. I would be interested in how you would incorporate the urgency zones to the Bubble Planner.
If one has got multiple projects varying in IMPORTANCE (from money jobs to secondary activities or even jobs around the house), then how does one deal with the URGENCY zones? Using ‘Critical Now’ as a Next- To-Do-List for items from multiple task-lists?
How would you handle daily tasks that must get done that day, but are fairly low priority? I have about five things I have to do each day, but on top of that I have three things that would fall into Critical Now based on priority.
Re yr Q on urgent but low priority tasks: if you would be forced to stay late if the item wasn't done, then it's a must-do-today item, regardless of importance to you. If it's important but you just can't fit it into the minutes you have, ask someone who could help you untangle this and sort them, and maybe the best person is your boss. If the items are important to your boss but somehow disgusting or otherwise cause you dread, then is it time to see how green the grass is in another job?
Thanks a lot for this helpful information! I was always missing my errands, shopping and many other simple things in life and the result is that , all used to make fun of me and i was called almost a looser! luckily, one of colleague introduced me to "listall" mobile app by lokesh which helps in managing 8 different and important type of lists in life. Now, I am much more organized and people now call me effective person! I cant believe it
Great video! Kill the music though, k? Please. Intro, outro and transitions are good for music but yours is quiet but annoying!! Great info though!!!!!!!
Good Video looses credibility when you go as directed to a free download of the work sheet, round and around the marketing pitch we go. I would have loved to have taken your online instruction course, but if it is difficult to download a simple work sheet, I'll pass
