Just completed a 6 weeks worth of work in less than 2 days, thank you so much, I was very behind in work because I’ve been sick and unable to attend my classes
Can you explain how to make an image bleed from the cover to the back page? I haven't been able to find a good article that shows how to do this .Very informative video!
Hi Brandon! Great question. Will think about making a video to answer this. If you are getting your project professionally printed, they will typically have you send a final file for JUST your cover. You can treat it like a full spread file with the necessary bleed and crop they request. Your image can be placed so that it continues from the cover to the back page. Hope that helps!
@@mkhanabusa Thanks so much for your response! I'm actually hoping to get into zine making at-home for some of my artwork. I'm so tired of my work living in the digital realm for the most part so I'll def check out more of your zine videos!
Thank you so much!! You can find two of our zines here: Asia Jackson x UPRISERS: weareuprisers.com/products/asia-jackson-zine #HATEISAVIRUS: weareuprisers.com/products/limited-edition-hateisavirus-zine
the video was really helpful! I do have a question though, I'm about to print on an A5 art paper. Can I use the exact same measurement as the one you're doing here? As a landscape A4 paper divided into two would make an A5. I'm sorry if this sounds stupid but I'm very confused and I do not want to make a mistake once I've sent the files to the print shop!
Thank you for the Lesson and Knowledge! Good thing is I did one without actually knowing I did one cause I never called it a zine before lmao. More like booklet I guess.
Literally found this video looking for design insight. Saw you and knew it was going to be good! Also, what are your thoughts on the potential Tik Tok ban in the US?
Hey very nice video! What i don’t understand is - when u make a zine, often you staple the pages. So how do you handle that in In design? Like arent you supposed to take into account the fact that the pages arent exactly spreads but separate ? I dont know if u see what i mean 😅😅
@@idontcare994 hi - great question! Depending on whether you are printing at home or from a local print shop, there will be different requirements and will need to finalize accordingly :)
Hi Ronald! Make sure to create your book as facing pages. If you are printing it at home, I would check your settings so that it's printing as facing pages. If you are printing it at a local print shop, I'd also chat with them on how to best save your pages according to their settings. Every printer is slightly different!
