In this tutorial, I show to create a simple Instagram filter in Spark AR Studio. This tutorial is suitable for absolute beginners to AR and Spark AR Studio. Please leave a comment if you'd like me to explain anything I skimmed over. If you're interested in more AR tutorials please let me know in the comments. :)

IF YOUR FILTER IS LOOKING BLURY ON YOUR PHONE: This is a common problem, here's how to fix it. Select Project from the toolbar at the top of SparkAR Studio. Select Edit Properties. Select Compression. Slide the "Quality" slider up to 100. That should fix it. :)

pro tip: if the Tatts have colours, set the blend mode to multiply - then the colours react to the skin, darken and become more realistic imo!

I added my png and the mesh was still there so I set the material to “face paint” like you said in another comment. It took off the mesh but then really darkened my face and I don’t know how to fix it.

Its because the texture you designed has an a white Background you have to erase the background in your sofware

You can use GIMP or any other free photo editing software. :) Photoshop is just what I'm most comfortable in.
