Excellent analysis. I'm curious how much detail your point @ 6:40 would attempt to capture. Are you suggesting a general awareness map of the supply chain or a more specific analysis to uncover all possible points of failure? The Pandemic is the only event in my living memory that caused multiple points of failure across global supply chains all at once.
Chris - I'd go from general awareness to detailed drill down in most cases. Many companies don't have a good global view of their supply chain and so a general awareness will always help to provide the context and identify critical paths. For example, part X may be much risky because you have only one supplier, whereas part Y may have three.
