Back after a while with the much-requested BUBBLE BRUSH where I teach you the basics and settings of this unique and trendy calligraphy brush. #procreate #procreateart #procreatebrush
Fabulous tutorial! I’m a traditional artist trying to get the hang of digital art and I find it so difficult but so much fun! This was exactly what I was looking for and you explained it so well. Thank you!!
I love your channel! Gives me the joy of creating my own brush and experimenting with them! I hope you consider creating a tutorial for a risograph-like brush!!!
Gah! I really like the look of this brush. I tried following your tutorial and something is wonky with my brush - it doesn't move or look like yours. Whenever I use the brush there's a thick white border around it and the translucent bit is like a thin line in the middle. Not sure what went wrong. I also found that when I copy/paste a shape into the brush tool with the background layer black - the brush doesn't paste right. For some reason it has like a grey looking square around it. I found that copy/paste works only when I have a white background and I have to invert the brush after I paste it into the shape editor. I've seen lots of videos where people just copy paste with a black background and it works, but every time I have tried copy/paste with a black background I get this grey looking shadow the shape of the canvas - almost like a ghost image. And I make sure that I'm using just black. But for some reason - things work when I use a white background and invert. This becomes really confusing, of course, when I have to do the opposite of what you're doing so my brush just isn't doing what yours is doing. So frustrating because it's like ALMOST working, but I don't know what to do to solve my problem. Wish I could take a screen shot and show what my brush is doing, but I deleted them. I tried 2 -3 times. I'll try again as I really like the effect you're getting with this brush! New subbie here and I'm excited to learn how to make my own brushes!!!
Great tutorial, but why is it that the preview looks exactly like yours while I'm tampering with the brush settings, but when I go to the actual canvas it looks horrible? It's like a white circle with a tiny black spot in the middle... I can't understand... especially since it looks perfect in the preview. Why could this be happening and how could I fix it? EDIT: Nevermind. I found the solution. Seems to be a bug that requires us to turn on Dynamic Brush Scaling. Actions > Prefs > Dynamic Brush Scaling > ON Now it looks as awesome as the one you made. Thanks! :D
I don't know HOW you figured that extra step out, but I was having issues with my brush as well and I tweaked it based on your comment and now MY BRUSH WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS COMMENT!!!!!! Before it would only work if the brush was enlarged 100% - now, because of you, I get the bubble effect no matter what size the brush is. WOO HOO. I hope your comment gets pinned for others who may have this problem!
@@TodaysSpecialMinis I actually found the solution online, but I don't remember where... Anyway, I thought I should share it here since I was not the only one having that issue. I'm glad I could help :D
@MakeThisBrush I was thinking of the dark outline/drop shadow, but that might be how the letters are designed. 🙂 And the stitches giving an embroidery look.
@@ricoetbello Oh, kind of like an outline brush? Have you tried making the BLENDING SHADOW brush here? It kinda has the same effect as what you're describing.
@MakeThisBrush kind of yh. I think maybe like a gothic type pen but with an outline/dark shadow. I like the square flat edges. I think I can make some tweaks
This is a great tutorial but why does mine literally look like teeth😰- Edit: nvm!! It doesn’t work well but it’s fine anyway. I just use it for other random stuff and tampered with the settings a bit so it’s ok!!!
Hee hee. I would have liked to see the teeth bubbles. Stuff of nightmares! Trial and error is needed in creating this brush shape. You won't believe how may times I tried!
I feel you! Mine comes out with a white border as well. It fades away about halfway down the line, but it's still a really stark white outline in the beginning. One thing that helped was I turned the size of the brush all the way up - if you make the brush smaller, the white line gets thicker. You might be having the same problem I'm having. It's a great brush. And when I figure it out to get it to look just like this - I'll circle back and let you know.
It didn’t work for me, I don’t know why but it doesn’t lend very well in the final result and I tried to do gausian blur but it was too basic colours. I don’t know if I should follow more tutorials…
Take your time. Try it again. Slow it down or rewind if you have to. Too many positive results in the comments. I made an almost exact brush on my first try. It works.
