Thank you so much for this video, Scot! This is high math for me, but I'll figure it out 😄. I'll need to see which fast shipment options are available in my location, estimate the costs, and make one or a few policies. A simple spreadsheet to compare the options will do.

Another great video! So helpful. Couple of questions I am having difficulties deleting my shipping policies. I want to just completely delete them all, but cannot figure out how to do it. I’ve read every article but none seem to fit. Any advice? Another question let’s just say I have a friend wink wink who overbought and has a death pile the size of Mount Everest…1600-2000 completely different items. I may need to hire someone to come in to help me which really defeats my purpose but what would you pay someone per listing? Thanks. By the way, I loved seeing you as well as Justin on the panel the other night you guys are my two favorite resellers and RU-vidrs . you always do such a great job questions. It just rolls off your tongue you’re very gifted.

I need to clean up my own shipping policies. When I get to that, I'll try to record it. As far as what I pay for listing, I'm not sure I'll do a good job of explaining it. The only person I've ever had do it was my son's best friend. We can leave him here with access to my account with no issues. Super trustworthy. AND, we try to overpay him because we know he can use it. Minimum, I usually pay him $2 for every item just to take my pictures. He's made drafts for us for that price, too. But, what we pay him has much more to do with what he needs that it does trying to speed up our eBay business. Make sense?

Really appreciate your videos! We are located in north Idaho which means it's a tossup whether ground advantage or usps flat rate is less expensive for the buyer depending on location. For heavier/bulkier items we offer options. It seems that buyers have no idea that they may have a choice. How do you make that known to the buyer? Thank you!

I have a question for ebay first class. "ebay first class large envelope" is a shipping option I can use for a listing. Can you use boxes or poly mailers for this? Does it have to be a flat envelope? I'm being thrown off with the large envelope part. I watched your video on first class mail and you talked about first class packages, but that video is old and I don't see an option for first class packages on the revise listing page under shipping.

First Class packages have been discontinued. It's been replaced by Ground Advantage. And, YES. you can use boxes and/or poly mailers without any issues.

Thank you for this! I offer free shipping on both eBay and Etsy, and on the former I can edit to add an option for the buyer to pay for upgraded shipping options, but I’ve yet to sort that out on EBay. Do you have any insight? Thank so much!!

Yes, all you need to do is create a shipping policy with more than one option. Include a cost that accounts for the difference in choice.

Just create a new policy that uses calculated shipping. It will need to be accurate on the weight and dimensions when it's listed.

I seem to get lost when following your steps when creating a shipping label. Does the account have to be a business account in order for this to work? My account isn't a business account YET, i remember you said i could change it when the time comes, so i'm assuming this may be the reason why its not working for me.

Hmm...no, it doesn't have to be a business account. My ChaChingKing eBay account isn't a business account. I keep it that way so that I can test these things. It works fine on there. Can you tell me at which point you're not seeing the same screen? Or having the same options?

I recently opened an ebay store after listing for 3 years without one. I set up my shipping policies, however, when I try to list on my app it won't allow me to choose a shipping option. I enter the size and weight of package just as before but no options are given after that. Because of this I can't list my item? What am I doing wrong?

It's hard to diagnose without seeing it. But, I suspect it has to do with policy. Have you tried selecting the policy before entering the dimensions? If it's not that, it could be because something isn't showing up on the phone that shows on the computer. So, you might try to see if you can do it on the computer. If it works on the computer and not the phone, the issue probably isn't the policy. If it doesn't work on either, it's got to be an error with the policies. Like I said, really just a guessing game without being able to see it.

@@BlessYourCoupons OK! That's a step in the right direction. That means that the shipping policy is built correctly. It's just an app error. Hopefully that gets sorted out, too.
