Hi Ms. Faith!!! I watched your AWESOME video twice! Thank you!!! I like to watch through the 1st time and then go along with you the 2nd time. I want to share what I have done so it might help someone else. When I created the name tags with you, I made blank templates on 3 US letter-size sheets. Transparent 2x3, 3x3, and 2x5 on each page and how you laid them out. I saved the transparent ones in a folder titled "Name Tag Templates." So, as you suggested, you can use them for all the different holidays, St. Patrick's day, Easter, etc...

Yes! That is a great idea. I don't usually save them as blank templates but I am also not the most organized person in the room. LOL. I'd just search back on old tags that I've done before and then make a copy to change out the graphics. Great work in getting your templates organized and thanks for sharing the tip. =)

Hello Faith This is an awesome video. Just a suggestion - You can create a floral design on a separate page, group it togather and download the same with a transparent background and upload the image. This will save time and you can use it over and over again. This can be done with a combination of Gnomes, hearts,and florals all combined in one. This would stand out as your own unique collection.

Just found your account! I love it! Do you by any chance have a tutorial on how to double print using canva for a tag? my friend asked me to make some for her niece's party (thank you tags) but I have no idea how to double side print :( help please

Hi, I don't have a tutorial on that. But I'd recommend doing a test print. Print out one page with some gift tags. Pay attention to how the paper comes out as it gets printed. Are the designs facing left or right? Is the orientation how it looks like on your computer screen's print preview? Then make a pencil "x" mark on the bottom right hand gift tag. And flip the page over and mark the same "x" behind the page at the exact same spot. This means both 'x's must be at a spot on the paper where they are back to back. Then feed the page in and print another copy of the same design. If you have fed the page into your printer in the correct orientation, you should be able to print the second page in the same orientation as the first page and the tags on both sides will be back to back. This isn't a matter of canva design or canva setting but your printer settings. So this is as much as I can help you with. Thank you.

HI Faith...I'm so happy I found you! You explain everything in detail more than anyone and I really appreicate that. I wanted to know if the new feature "Flatten PDF " will lock my designs so when the PDF's are opened in Adobe Reader by the customer, they won't be able to change or extract the clipart. Is that Correct. Thanks so much for your videos.

Yes, that's correct. When you flatten the PDF, the end user should not be able to extract elements out from the PDF file. =)

Is the PDF print option a better quality than PDF standard? Or is it even a noticeable difference? Thanks for the great video!! Your tutorials are so easy to follow along.

For projects that are US letter size, I really don’t think it makes a difference. My default is PDF Standard for printables. Better to keep the file lightweight for easy uploading to sell and easy downloading for customers. Thanks for watching!

I would use 120 gsm. That's what I'm familiar with from my local book store. Hope that helps!

What type of printer would be best for printing tags for best coloring? Also what paper weight do you recommend printing on?

I use HP desk jet 3720 at home. For printable gift tags, I'd recommend cardstock paper so it's not as flimsy. In all honesty, I think the typical home printer would do the job well.

How you do you cutout perfect shapes you are printing?

That would probably require circuit machines which I'm afraid I'm not familiar with. If you are worried about that, my suggestion is to create regular shaped gift tags so it's easy for anyone to cut them out with a pair of scissors.

Use round frames/ simple circle shapes instead of rectangular ones. The rest of the steps are the same

I am trying to make a round tag by using circle shape and frame as well but I want to put an element which is supposed to be on the edges and that should give a cropped element look. I don’t know if it make sense. But the elements are still visible on the canvas sheet making it look going outside of the tag and not cropped look. I can’t manually crop the element either as I want a specific position of the element on the tag. Please can you help me with this?

@@lubna4633 It's a little difficult to troubleshoot this but here's what I would suggest: 1) add other shapes (in white) to overlap the parts of the element that is jutting out of the tag to cover them up without having to crop the element itself. 2) depends on what final shape of the element looks like, you might be able to use a FRAME to position in the place where you want the element to be and then drag the element into this frame. This will only work if the frame is the same shape what how you want the element to look and if the element is a image and not a graphic. I hope this helps! Press on with your creations!

@@faithsbizacademy yes tried it all. It works for some elements but not all graphics. Where else can we design the tags and then upload them to canva to just make the signature line editable? I want to sell these on etsy so gonna make sure everything is crisp clear and very clean.
