Thank you for the tutorial. I have another question: what should I do if I use this lower third multiple times and the name of someone is longer than the others? Is it possible to adjust the background automatically to fit the length of the title?
Yes. There are some ways you can use to have the background automatically adjust. I know there are some ways to do it with expressions or a feature called "dynamic text" with text+. Unfortunately this is something I don't have any experience with, so I'm afraid I won't be much help, but I'm sure you could find another tutorial about those features to help you out. Thank you for your comment, I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Thank you! Yes, you can follow the same process for the text but with an image if you just wanted to move the text over a bit to fit the logo. I could potentially do another tutorial for a lower third with a logo. Otherwise, Skyline Motion has a good tutorial for a lower third that uses social media icons. You could just follow that, but use your logo instead of the social media icon. Hope this helps!
Thank you! Without knowing exactly how you're using it, something I might suggest is to start with a background node at the very beginning of everything. Then make the color black and turn down the alpha all the way to zero. Sometimes fusion can be a bit weird with how it's being applied to footage. Hope this helps!
This is a great tutorial. But while watching i came to a conclusion: I can make the same thing in Canva without the pain in the ass with all those freaking nods. Personally, as a new DaVinci user, I think the idea of nods is outdated already and all those nod manipulations should be done on the background. Kinda like non code programming.
