I absolutely LOVE the Mylar balloon dies. I’m not much of an ink/stencil girl, but I love die cutting and paper piecing. I really like how this set allows you to create dimension through die cutting alone (and of course ink is an added bonus!). Thank you!

This release is awesome, Simon!! I love everything so it’s hard to pick a favorite!! The balloons using the Solar Paste really made them realistic!! The plaster embossing folder is amazing and can be used for just about any card!! The Flourish embossing folder is beautiful!! I love all the cards you made!! Sorry I missed your live!!

Both Spellbinders and Ranger have this information on their websites. I think both companies are okay with sales so long as the items you sell are all made by hand. There might be an item limit per design. My memory could be faulty so definitely check their websites. 😊

Hi simon, I was wondering if there was a way to be able to use the stamping foam outside, for example to take the shape of the manhole symbol etc.. from what I have seen there is no other way but to heat it right..?

I have two ideas for making impressions from items that cannot be brought indoors. First, portable power station used for camping and boats and emergencies. These start around $50 USD and can be hundreds of dollars depending on size and how much power they store. The other idea is silicone molding putty. It’s used for making molds. Comes in two parts that you knead together. Then you press it against the texture you want to capture. It has a cure time that will be in the instructions. After your mold cures you can then press your stamping foam against it. Pressing your stamping foam against a mold will give you a raised design, but if you want the design indented in your stamping foam, you can make a second mold off of your first one. Essentially you will be making a texture plate off the first mold. But you can then use your stamping foam with the second mold so that you get the indented design in your stamping foam. Making two molds before transferring texture to stamping foam will result in a loss of resolution; your design will not be as crisp as pushing stamping foam directly against the texture. Stamping foam though isn’t really for crisp lines though. Sharp details is why we have rubber and polymer stamps. The idea of going on an urban texture safari with a portable power station and a heat gun has given me the giggles. Capturing textures in the wild, so to speak, is one of those activities where forgiveness is much easier to obtain than permission. How do I know this? I’ve made artistic rubbings for a long time (it’s a whole thing). There are places where I would always obtain permission first like a cemetery. Historic cemeteries are used to the request. But for manhole covers and the like, it’s just easier to do it and then see if anyone objects. I have never used Simon’s stamping foam outdoors. But I have used molding putty. It’s quick and usually leaves no trace behind. But if a bit of putty sticks, make sure you remove it. I’m starting to feel like I have to provide all sorts of warnings and caveats. I’m totally cracking myself up with the idea of using stamping foam at an art museum. “I like this bit of the sculpture so I’m just going to press my heated stamping foam against it.” It’s obvious that you shouldn’t do this, right? I do think capturing texture is a fun subject for a roadtrip comedy. I really do have the giggles.

Yes, use the foam sheet that comes with your die cutting machine.

I think the sheet is more like silicone or soft rubber than like fun foam. It is the one used for embossing with dies.

OKAY, where did you get the hot foil plate sentiments, that say"lets party,make a wish, happy b, cheers wish big, etc" you dont have it in your "more" list...ARGH, never mind, found it!
