Great tutorial, very thorough! One question, why do you use the selection tool + freehand tool to paint the shadow? By using the Filled stroke tool you can do this in one step.
Thank you! I use the selection + freehand tool for 2 reasons. 1st, because I enjoy working that way :) and second, because I can either paint color, or delete what I painted. Therefore I can choose to make 2 actions, whereas the filled stroke only does one :)
