Create Wordpress Website on a localhost using Xampp 

I just spent like 5 hours failing over and over again... until i found this masterpiece ! You sir just made my day, thank you very much! Awesome and simple tutorial !

The length of the video is reasonable, the step by step information are all here. I had a rough time trying to figure out the installation problem that I had before (I thought it was my anti-virus) until you mentioned the settings in the control panel and it all worked out fine. Thank you!

I got the page not find, but when I reviewed the steps I hadn't changed what should go in the 'db_password' for the 'wp-config' file, in this case nothing, once I'd done that, hey presto - I was away. Great stuff thank you so much.

Great vid as I've used this before editing my current website so can make changes in a test system before moving it to live. Another good vid would be a guide on taking a live Wordpress site and importing it into a local xampp setup so you can do test updates. I mentioned this because I haven't done it in ages and forgotten how to do it :) all the vids I found were on old wordpress setups.

Great tutorial @ 6.59 sec make sure to change the save as type to all files (*) otherwise your file name ends up with ".php.txt"

Great tutorial. My only critique is that you glossed over securing XAMPP. I think it's very important that beginners know they should change the password for MySQL and set up XAMPP directory protection so it's not accessible to everyone.
