In this video, Joe starts a brand new series on OddAlerts that is aimed to educate you on how to make calls to the OddAlerts API to build your own database, conduct experiments, and test any theories you might have.
We'll explore the OddAlerts API, focusing on the Trends data endpoints, and learn how to connect with that data to create a personalised Telegram bot. We'll dive into grabbing and manipulating the data, potentially saving it to a database, and setting up alerts based on it.
Using Python and various apps/plugins, including ChatGPT, this is the first episode of a series that will ultimately give you a working Python script that can send alerts to your personal Telegram channel. You can view more details about the OddAlerts API here:

Sounds like an issue with your program as the data is just CSV. Try importing into Google sheets or something similar, or juts viewing the file with text editor and you'll see that the content is there.@@minecraftchannel6880

It is not clear how to use the API in sports betting. What function does the API provide to achieve a positive result? Receiving bare data gives nothing to gain, how can I understand that a given line is more preferable than another in the output. What I see now is an explanation of working with json) bloated for 20 minutes.

It gives you access to all of the data on pages such Trends, Value Bets, Dropping Odds, and more. This data is highly-valuable. It's up to you how you use it, of course, but one example would be scanning the value bets endpoint and automatically sending yourself a Telegram alert when certain values are met. You could also create automated shortlists of games by using the Trends data. There's also the new /stats endpoint that can get you all of the stats for teams in a certain competition, including the "frozen stats" from before any game in that season.
