My wife in the middle 80s went for a job at USPS there were people of all races there. She made a100 on all her test. Never missed a class or was late. Her dad work almost 50 year years there. Only one black lady passed the test. Barely. She got the job cause she was black.

This pastor is giving a sanitized account of racism in-general and Dr. King in-particular. And just for the record: the church DID NOT end slavery or racism as this pastor wrongly states. The church used violence to keep black people from worshiping with them. Any study of history reveals that. If you’re gonna speak “truth,” at least be bold enough to risk a congregational backlash by speaking the WHOLE truth!

So telling the dirty truth...AS GOD KNOWS AND REQUIRES IT....whether it makes you uncomfortable or not..is "critical race theory"? As a youth in the civil rights movement in the 60's I certify that there have always been white people active in the civil rights movement....but they were called "N....lovers" and 1600 were hung on trees because they tried to help in the civil rights movement, but they don't erase the evil! I don't care how many library books they try to destroy, that tell the history, they cannot destroy all of the personal stories blacks have...like my dad and mom both WWII veterans couldn't buy the house they wanted with their GI bill and had to go to another state to a black area to purchase one. By the way, those history books they are supposedly removing from school libraries so that history won't be told are apparently being sold by Amazon! I bought one thinking I was purchasing a new book for a child..the library card still attatched...the greedy will always be! God is the GOD OF TRUTH...the same God that was in those bibles European immigrants brought with them...who warned that if he didn't spare his chosen people..the Israelites...no one will be spared. In God's anger he punished Aaron and Miriam becaused they talked against Moses' black wife! There are those who spent hundreds of years..including "the church" portraying Jesus as a "white man" and now that God is revealing truth as he promised, the attempt now is to lay the burden of slavery and "jim crow" laws on blacks and others of color because the one's who participated, justified and even created the laws that perpetrated it are suddenly triggered after 500 years!

My experience has been that hearing the genuine truth about our nation’s racist history Is just too painful for many well-meaning white Christians to bear, let alone hear it from the pulpit. They just don’t want to hear it or investigate it for themselves. The good news is that there are white Christians who DO acknowledge the harm American Christianity has historically done regarding race relations - a fact this pastor is not ready to accept.

We all have the right to tell our story, and God instructed the Israelites to never forget the period of their enslavement. The bible is all about history and future prophesies to be fullfilled. The fact that some chose to whitewash God's word doesn't change God's promises of restoration. God promises to give back what was stolen and to reveal everything that was done in darkness. You call it crt...what does God call it...according to His word?

Dr Young preaches the bible as it is written. Watch all his sermons. He say the first man saved was Ethiopian . He doesn't bring up race alot. I love Dr.Young and his preaching

@@graigsessions5447Agreed. Dr. Young is a Bible teacher. However Young says "no where in the Bible.........." The Bible speaks very often about nationality, ethnicity, heritage, and family, even as you quoted. Young is incorrect in this case when he discounts race as "evil by nature." His intentions are pure. However we are still male and female in Christ, and we are still racially and ethnically diverse. We shoud not be divided because we are different but the solution is not "erase race." It is "erase division."

As every schoolchild knows, the first task the European colonists undertook was to “settle the land.” This is the euphemistic phrase European Americans have long used for the theft of Native American land-which often required war, often genocidal war, because Native Americans did not comply. Once the land was stolen, the need for labor to work the land exceeded the supply of indentured and other white workers. From the mid-17th century onward, enslaved Black laborers became ever more essential to the prosperity of the new white-dominated society, eventually becoming a major source of labor that generated significant prosperity for many whites. Black Americans were the only group of color that was internally central, as essential labor, to the prospering of the new North American colonies.For two centuries slavery was the major foundation for this country, as an economy, a society, and a polity. Pay attention, Bubba. If there had been no theft of Native American lands, there would be no United States. If there had been no African American enslavement, there probably would have been no huge North American wealth generation-and possibly no modern wealth-generating North American capitalism on the massive scale that developed over four centuries. Enslaved workers cultivating tobacco, rice, sugar, cotton, and other crops generated very large amounts of economic capital, much of which circulated through the European and North American economic systems generating much spin-off prosperity, including important industrial breakthroughs. Enslaved black Americans created much of the surplus capital (wealth) of this country for two centuries, half this country’s lifetime. Without slavery, there is quite probably no United States and no U.S. Constitution-at least not when it happened in the 17th and 18th centuries-and thus no U.S. international empire later on. In these early centuries, the social relations of economic exploitation created much income and wealth for whites, which in turn provided much wealth for many later generations, to the present day. Thus, in North America white economic prosperity is racialized in its tap roots, although those tap roots are mostly left out of the national collective memory controlled by whites.
