I have been "trying" to skin CSGO weapons for a long time. You have taught me more in the last 3 videos than I learned from 50 other skinning videos in the past. Thank you sir.

No problem at all. A lot of this is going to be very basic and over time you will find different workflows, but the idea is to get people familiar with what all the maps do and some different ways of creating them. Once you get a feel for how everything works you'll branch out and find new/different ways of doing things.

@@optekdesigns So I’ve watched all of the videos multiple times. I’m learning a ton of stuff I probably should have known already but didn’t pick it up before. I’m starting a new project a P250. I’ve created some weapons in the past and they weren’t all total garbage, but hopefully with the new things I’ve learned I’ll make one that might possibly get selected, we will see…Thank you once again for the excellent tutorials if I ever get selected you’ll be a huge reason why.

@@TheSublimeSoldier You are most certainly welcome. You will continue to learn a little bit more as you work on projects and figure some things out on your own too, and of course with every artist you encounter because they will all have different ways of doing things. If you havent already, you might want to take a look at Zombiee's discord (Ive linked it in the videos). It is a huge collective of both accepted and non accepted artists and a good resource for anyone looking to improve. Even I learn something new in there all the time and Ive been doing this for a while. Also, one side note that Ive been telling people since I havent been able to put a video out about it (Im 2.5 months deep in a project that has been a nightmare to finish), I learned recently that my default normal maps are incorrect on my drive. They are inverted which causes some weird effects on the weapons. This is an easy fix though and I wanted to tell people about it until I can get all my normals fixed. All you need to do is when you import them into photoshop, go to your channels tab and select the green channel, then it ctrl + i on the keyboard to invert it. You dont have to invert any of your own normal maps....just the default.
