I thought that you might have done a corset stitch down each side. Considering how big the spine is, doing it the way you did, was probably for the best. It holds the covers and spine together better. That is one chunky book. LOL As I was watching you do the dry brushing, I recalled the first time I used the technique. It was many years ago and I was taking a ceramics class with my mother in law, great lady. She kept tell me that I had too much paint on the brush. Finally when I thought that there wasn't any paint on the brush, she told me it was ok to paint. She was correct and the piece turned out very nice. I had great in laws, their son... we got divorced! My in laws have been gone for quite some time but I miss them.

I had to do that with the wedding journal I made my granddaughter! I went from a 4 inch spine to a 6 1/2 inch spine because she put so many pictures and memories in her wedding book! but you haven't done it awesome. I love your book. I love your cover. I love your tags and your daily edition. I love you. I love Leo and I hate that the whole thing is over.
