If there is anyone here from the "3 Traps That People Fall Into When Communicating", I have a question for you: don't you think that it was necessary to give a lot of details because it is a video that shows you step by step how to make a "Pecha Kucha" Presentation?
Well, I muted the video and was still able to learn just from the screenshots. That's the trap. Virtual communication is not delivering a textbook or manual.
As a reference I'm working on a Mac running PowerPoint 2008. It is my understanding that when you save a PPT as a movie embedded audio and audio narration will not play. The only way to make this work is to record the audio narration in another program (ex. Audacity) then add it to the movie when saving. File > Save As Movie > Movie Options > Background Soundtrack. Under Transitions choose "Follow Slideshow Settings" to maintain the 20 sec advance. It's awkward but it works for me -- Mendi
You did an excellent job of explaining this! It was super thorough and paced very well. I am doing my first MBA Pecha-Kucha presentation. This is soooooo helpful!! Thank you so much.
Besides your clarification step-by-step, you also demonstrated an excellent script for someone giving instructions on working with an unfamiliar software program. Visually, we could see WHERE, and simultaneously, we could hear the specific vocabulary and explanation of each step. Thank you. (P.S. How long did it take you to create this pecha kucha presentation?)
If u are using windows …..choose Click View tab ---> Choose Slide Master and then customize the parent slide. All these changes will be saved in the subsequent slides also. It will be a lot easier and less time consuming.
Too many details. She doesn’t even address the topic until almost a minute in. Did you feel the urge to skip forward? In her attempt to be clear, she ended up doing the opposite. The moral? Less is more.
ha ha ha I love that pic. It was my desktop background for almost a year. TBH I never noticed it but thanks for pointing it out because it made my day.
How do you convert a presentation with narration to a movie file. I tried to do it, but the audio is missing. The 20 second slides go alright, but the audio is missing. Help?
teachandlearn1 no offence but this video was suggested by our coach to observe the mistake and then comment about it and our coach is from unversity of torronto he may have asked your permission for it
