Really great interview. It added very in-depth explanations of the features and benefits, while not talking over everyone's heads. As a Mackie fan and enthusiast, I'm excited to get my hands on one!

I bought the DLZ the same day it came out. I really wish it had a Mac interface to do basic stuff like transfer on machine recordings to my Mac. I hope in the future you can get a iPad app to connect and control the DLZ so when I’m at my other setup away from my main control area. Great product so far.

I have a question about the DLZ creator, when I record it on multi track on the SD card. It splits the audio after 18 minutes of recording an hour podcast can be split into four different portions. Have you found out to be an issue or work around for it?

Does it have a feature to mute external monitor speakers when a mic is turned on? This would be useful if it was being used as a live radio mixer. if not, could that be added with a firmware update?

Why is the audio files not in one file but broken into multiple files? Also can you make the ducking user control rather than on and off preset?

Is there a "broadcaster mode" for the faders where unity is at the very top (max) of the fader?

Im skeptical if Mackie will continuous update their firmware from time to time. The Rode Procaster 2 has been receiving updates regularly. So I'm leaning more toward the Rode.

I am very dissapointed with it splitting my audio recording to SD card to different files. its already annoying that it records it to a single wav file, that I need to separate for each channel, which takes time and its cumbersome, but then each recording is split to multiple wave files. it goes like this: 1H recording is split to 3 audio files or 4 each files containes all the channels, which mean i need to split each files individually and assign the channels in DAW which makes it soooo hard and annoying and long, why is it so complicated and for the life of me I cant find any info on the subject. thinking to return it

A little late to the show here, but i also have the same issue. and the guy over at technical is such a bad technical support agent...comes across as rude...but thats besides the point. this shitty machine records in FAT 32 which splits the files in 2.15GB files. thank God we purchased one before we opened up our media center. we have 2 RODECASTER pro 2 and we were going to buy another 4 or even 6 DLZ's....not after this and many other small little problems...also, as i mentioned, this guy at the technical deparment. he answers in such a dismissive way and kinda makes you feel like youre bothering him. i relocated to spain and opened up here. im currently setting up our podcast suit and im glad i aint getting no more of these.

Hey guys, I’m so ready to buy this but can you add the following things in the next firmware updates. 1) add a monitor mute function 2) but the USB send to CJ 1 & 2 and not 13/14. A lot of conferencing apps cannot read Ch 13/14 when in multitrack. 3) move away from FAT32 so you can move away from polywave to be able to generate a single file per channel. 4) add db meter to software. Thank you.
