Creating a QR Code in ABAP [english]

In today's video I show you a class with which you can generate a QR code in ABAP. QR stands for Quick Response. We print QR Codes on PDF documents that we generate in Fiori and offer for download. With the QR code you can then jump directly to the Fiori App for the respective process.

is it possible to display the QR-Code right away using something like "cl_demo_output=>display( lv_qrcode ) " ? (for demonstration purposes)

Unfortunately no, it is a binary file in that case a graphic and you have to treat it that way. 🤗

I do not have the CL_RSTX_BARCODE_RENDERER class in my NPL system, and I found that this is because i must to implement the 2790500 note, and I cannot. Can you help me?

One option would be to download the note from me.sap.com/notes/2790500. The note is then a file with the extension *.SAR. After that, upload the note in your NPL system an import it there. With this note (2790500), manual corrections must also be made, but these are described in detail. Afterwards the class CL_RSTX_BARCODE_RENDERER is available in the NPL system. But I am not sure if this is allowed from a licensing point of view. Please check in advance. 🤔

How can we generate QR Code with string length greater than 255 (e.g. 1000-1500)?.... please help I need to implement this for my project

The variable for the link ist of type string. So you can use as much characters you need. I tested ist with 1000 chars. The QR Code will be generated. 🤗
