This was so fun to watch! I actually had this going on in the background as I'm working on my own "story binder" (mine's not a binder, but it's the same concept), which is my project for the week! I do sometimes feel like I'm the only person on Authortube who DOESN'T use astrology of any sort of build their characters, and it's so interesting to see how that works out for the people who do! You're going to do amazing on this book!!
This is the first time I used astrology! Actually it's the first time I've actually sat down and written out character sheets at all lol. But I've been getting more into astrology over the last year so it was fun to put together. Good luck with your story prep!
I don’t use astrology because I don’t know much about it and I’m too lazy to learn all these stuff xdd, but I like to use MBTI and enneagram to add to my characters, I like to take tests as them or to think which one would fit them on my own, and then read all these stuff about their relations etc xd
I am also writing Horror too. Although it's leading itself to be more speculative fiction because I want to explore a few elements from different genres. Exciting to watch your progress through nanowrimo and I loved watching you create your story binder.
That looks like a great setup! I love the idea of going to the astrological signs to develop characters!! Also, the pictures of the places they will visit and where they live helps to ground the story. Love that!! I only have pics of my characters, but now I will definitely add more pictures to my plotting binder! Thanks for all the great ideas! Look forward to seeing more! :)
One of the things I do is I start a note sheet, and on that sheet I write down the descriptions of rooms, of clothes, of food they eat. That way I can reference that to make certain I have the details straight. So in my current story I have a list of names of friends and how they have a connection. It's not really all that important, unless I mention them later and mess them up.

Oh geeze I just got my final wisdom tooth removed (the office I went to made me drag them all out into separate appointments for some reason wtf) so I’m sending some preemptive healing vibes your way!! I’ve never thought of making them in something like PicMonkey but they look so cool, I might just have to steal that idea lol. My office is doing the same thing! This one is my first (and the one causing the most pain) but I still have to schedule out the rest of them. And thank you! I do too 💛 It was my first time making character sheets in pic monkey and I gotta say, I don’t think I’ll do it any other way in the future. It satisfies my need to make everything aesthetically pleasing while also being super functional lol
It's so annoying! Like, just knock me out and take 'em all at once and I'll deal with the recovery happily if it means not doing it again lol. For real though! I'm always trying to format a document on Google Drive to make it look nice and include pics, or I'll try and handwrite and section out notebook pages, but I hate my handwriting so I give up easily lol. I can't wait to try PicMonkey later today!
