Those were some pretty hard nails to begin with, I noticed the sharpened tips of the nails did not flatten or bend when you drove the washers off with a hammer.

Попробуй в следующий раз расковать не в полосу а в квадрат,закрутить по часовой стрелке, после разрезать,сложить, расковать в квадрат и закрутить против часовой стрелки. После этого разрезать,расковать в полосу и делать нож. Уверяю тебя рисунок будет гораздо красивее... Да...работы прибавится,но это того стоит. С твоим парком станков это будет не сложно.

нож из гвоздей?да даже того что он сделал-уже много.это просто железяка,не нож.там нету углерода.только бананы и резать таким ножом.и еще,если даже сделать все,о чем ты пишешь,все равно ничего не выйдет.получиться однородное железо.для рисунка надо использовать разные сорта стали в пакете.там и углеродка и железо и хром и никель.тогда и только можно получить красивый и яркий ресунок.

This is why I LOVE❤ watching your videos. You take shit like these thick steel Rivets and make knives 🔪 out of them, just like you would if you were living in an “Walking Dead” type Situation. It also doesn’t matter how much flux you use, as long as you get proper results in your project, as seen clearly here. It’s kinda hard to believe that they were Steel Rivet’s at the end of this video. Keep up your amazing work man🔪🔪💪💪🔥🔥💯💯💯💯

Flux (borax) when it oxidizes it sucks the air out from between the nails making for a better weld

I hate to be negative, but if you can drill the holes for the pins that easily, then the blade isn't properly hardened... That steel may require a water quench, if it can hardened at all. There may not be much carbon left after all those sparks

Мда. Железо сжег знатно. что же ты его так перегреваешь? Уже на моменте отрезания шляпок гвоздей без защиты глаз хотел выключить это видео (ибо мастер, который не знает технику безопасности это не мастер), но любопытство пересилило и не зря, уже несколько видео как "мастер" просто портит материал.

nails are a type of iron that is so soft, you can't make the best knife out of a nail. I once thinned a nail without burning it. the nail iron was too soft

Masonry nails have been heat treated for hardness, but they are still low carbon, they can't reach a high level of hardness. Plus they've been coated for corrosion. It's cheap material, not ideal for blades. Just for show. And, with all that equipment, how about investing in a pair of safety googles?

Clean your metal! You're getting zinc in the steel, and your lungs. I cringe every time i watch this guy weld dirty, rusted metal together. Btw, he should do a crucible project with his cutoffs.

Real naiuls arent made like those...those are Ramset Nails or something similar. metal is much harder.
