do you split mp as in sessions? im trading whit split profile of 2 sessions (RTH and then the rest together) im doing it because pete steidlmayer started doing it because he says market changed
Yes and no, I look at both the composite and the split one. Composite more helpful within balance, daily ones help fine tune entries and provide context
It's amazing to hear that you've found success through their teachings. To be honest, I haven't spent too much time reading the actual literature on it. I found Jim a couple years ago and was immediately fascinated by the concept. Spent a little time learning the basics and then just went to back testing myself. I'm sure a lot of what I say is very similar to or maybe exactly what other 'Market Profilers' say, but the way I use it comes mostly from back testing it and seeing it in action every day.
@@rizzotrades sure, i think learning the theory and testing and SEE what fits is the way, i just been learning SO many concepts (slowly) and a Lot of videos and now i'm just getting RID off concenpts i don't think im gonna use and leaving the others, RIGTH now i'm learning My final MP topics for now which are MP days and openings, it's been kinda difficult to find info That gives me more info rather than just giving me the days, SO the MP day shapes and openings it's the topics i'm looking info RIGTH now, and ima see if the work for me or not.
Thanks for reaching out. Like I said, I'm not fully aware of all the 'textbook' concepts taught by the authors of profile. In my personal opinion, the focus should be on value and working off the extremes of said areas of value. I don't mean VAH VAL by this but value in terms of where volume and time is built. Profile shapes and openings can be used as context but look for great trade location first. If you haven't yet look at my other videos about volume profile if you want help with that.
