If and when you give this another go you could try giving your dynasty a blood legacy to increase the chances of inheriting the dwarf trait. Also I challenge you to remain entirely inland and in the mountains because no self-respecting dwarf uses *boats*
New challenge idea: Since you were already going for the dwarfs, you need to shoot for having the strangest family and kingdom possible. How about an albino dwarf Viking ruling in Africa? How about seeing what happens when a dwarf and a giant have kids?

The dwarves in my D&D world will be even more inspired by vikings than normal dwarves, they will have jarls and huscarls, and their celestial beings will be my own made up aesir, and their gods will be the greatest among the aesir.
