How beautiful Laura! Your mom and the relationship you share reminds me so much of my own mother. My mom suffered two strokes in 2016 and was also diagnosed with dementia at the time of the first stroke. She’s doing well now but of course is no longer able to do all she used to enjoy doing. Like you and your mom, she was always busy in the garden or inside her home. Her style of decorating and gardening tended to be more formal than my own - but we both appreciated the same things. Your mom’s home reminds me so much of my parents’ home. This is already too long but I guess I just wanted to thank you for sharing a bit of your relationship with your mother. You both remind me of my mom and I - bringing back wonderful memories. 😊thank you

Wow Laura, you say you are not a professional, but you are so amazing at these simple but elegant cut flower arrangements, I am always in awe at how beautiful they always turn out, and it was so heart warming to see how grateful your sweet mom was at this gift of love. Mom's are the best and yours is so amazing, when you went to the garden center and showed your parents store front, it sparked a memory in me, a long time ago when I was in Oregon I do remember seeing your parents store but it was when I was younger and not into garden things like I am now, so that made me smile. That is right up there with romancing the ordinary. What a beautiful display you made and the vase was perfect! You have such an artist's eye for color and arranging things it always looks great. Thank you for the inspiration on using different things to put flowers in and on what to look for out in the garden to go with what we flowers we can find in the winter. Love your parents yard as well, would be fun to see a video of how they do the winter as I really like the things they had up to feed birds.
