Why has speed gone down? Why has sense gone up? And why has size has gone up? The first and last questions can be answered by the fact that there are no predators, so rather than speed being helpful they are a hindrance in using energy because of the lack of utility in an environment that didn’t seem that dangerous. You could look at the Galapagos turtles being an example. Having no predator on the Galapagos they evolved to not only be aggressive to anyone intruding in their territory including humans but live longer and bigger than most. Sense has gone way up to detect more food while expending as little energy as possible to sustain themselves for longer without much effort.

I'd guess that larger litter size is penalized because it would mean all the eggs are close together, so if any other species spots it they're all toast. Also, to my understanding, it would take longer to have offspring since they'd need X times more food per child; so if you changed it so that larger litters need less food per egg you'd probably see it pop up more.
