While both emerge from primordial chaos and share a role in the story of creation, their essential nature and cosmic roles diverge in a big way. For starters, the Archons are often depicted as a group of seven, with their genders varying, sometimes they're shown as distinctly male or female, and other times as androgynous. In contrast, the Ogdoad, this group of Neters are a fixed group of eight deities, explicitly divided into four male and four female entities. When it comes to their relationship with humanity, the Archons are seen as adversaries, actively working to trap people in ignorance and bind them to the material world. The Ogdoad, however, has a more neutral stance-they represent cosmic forces that existed before the world's creation and aren’t directly involved in human affairs. As for their fate, the Archons are destined for destruction, with their reign of chaos and ignorance eventually coming to an end. The Ogdoad doesn't have a similar narrative of destruction. Instead, they continue to symbolize the primordial elements, persisting even after the act of creation. So, while both groups share aspects of chaos, their numbers, gender distinctions, relationships with humanity, and ultimate destinies highlight their fundamental differences. The Archons are antagonistic bastards. I find that they bare closer resemblance to the Qliphothic entities in Jewish mysticism, from the Sitra Achra, the realm of evil. Have you studied those?
