The interviewer actually asked direct and detailed questions, normally they get soft ball vague questions which boost their ego but this guy is playing more devils advocate which is refreshing

I think the kardashians are smarter than people give them credit for they’ve been slowly building a brand for years under the controversy and no one noticed and now they lead some of the markets
The general public is going to be kicking themselves sometime in the future when they look back and realize what kick-ass business women the Kardashians are
The interviewer did a great job! he asked direct questions and IMO was very respectful. He is only asking the questions that a lot of people have on thier minds, so he did a great job!

As a woman who wants to venture into the business world, it's great seeing the kardashians reign. They're so smart and confident and really embody success. It's really inspiring
This is how the wold works, marketing and advertisement is being used to have people believing they need this or that, of course some companies try to be more consumer friendly and listen to them, but mostly it's all about the brainwashing. And it works often. Can't blame the business people for using this weakness, just our stupid, superficial society for playing their game.
His questions were sort of condescending, he told Kris that she's not involved in the "day to day", accused her of being a shadowy figure behind the scenes, and basically told Kim that no one takes her seriously lol.

It’s a short journey into Facebook to see how many people still DONT take them seriously as business women. So it’s a valid point to bring up and it allows them to address the issue and discredit it. He asked fair questions. And they answered them really well.
Can we just admire the fact that he is asking very direct and challenging questions? At the same time paving way for them to portray themselves as intelligent entrepreneurs than asking her about Kanye, north and sex tape

Athene677 exactly. And he's asking "business" questions about numbers and strategy and market studies and she's like "humm it's so this and so that" Yeah they are definitely smart but more for taking advantage of the opportunities their team age building for them
I don't think the interviewer was bad at all. In fact I think Kim gives uninteresting answers, that don't lead to a more interesting and dynamic conversation between the interviewer and her. I would also say, I don't think reality television is a respected craft at all, I don't get what her point is. She's right, you can't argue that it's not successful, hence her mentioning the 14 seasons, but I don't think it's respected tbh.
The entire family consists of extremely smart businesswoman. Not only do they know how to make money, they also have such a close knit bond with each other and I think that sets a great example for kids. They're great!

listening to them speak about the cynical PR machinations of 'putting out fires' was the most interesting thing in this panel, and that was shallow at best. watching them attempt to skate around the cola nightmare was hilarious
I’ve realized why the sisters can be ruthless and dramatic with one another besides for the entertainment, at the end Kim and Kris wants all the sisters to succeed and be able to feed their kids. They are family and business woman goals.

I'm not sure if these particular interview candidates has attracted an audience that otherwise wouldn't be caught anywhere near a BOF panel or a BOF RU-vid video, but in the event that it has. Let me just say, as a avid reader/follower of BOF (and Imran Amed) they have conducted thousands of intuitive, professional, knowledgeable interviews with key figures of the fashion industry. As a designer, their interviews have not only helped me gain insight into the mindset of other designers, but buyers, shoppers and CEOS of the retail world. To me, this interview could have been better if Kim's answers were more informational and gave the viewers some beneficial (usable) advice they could utilise as new-age entrepreneurs. The moment Kris started talking, you felt the actual confidence of a woman who has a better understanding of the game, as a whole, there was a sense of knowledge there that unfortunately Kim, seems to be uninterested in sharing with us. And while I commend BOF for giving the Kardashians this platform, there will always be some interviews that just don't work as well as expected. I would like to watch a solo interview of Kris Jenner, on management tactics and her business plan but other than that, no more of this. On another note, the users below who say he's condescending and rude? I did not read that at all. He's asking questions based on public opinion. I adore Kim Kardashian, but there are people out there who are intent on portraying her as the solitary cause of all things wrong with this generation, when in fact KK played to her strengths and made a billion dollar empire. So good on her for proving the naysayers wrong, but perhaps a prep prior to business related interviews is in order.
This interview Imran can be better, you should go and watch Naomi Campbell's interviews she conducted for vogue especially the one with Virgil and Kim. There is real intention behind the questions and there was so much insight provided.
I think Imran did a good job, and please dont say that Kim and Kris are not a business model representants! If you pay attention, the answers talk by themselves expressing the HUGE business behind the Kardashians, and HOW they figure it out all in social media. Beauty is now the new fashion, and clearly running business of millions. Thanks @bof for the Interview!

2009 I've invited Imran Amed to Vienna and we've talked in a panel about the future of fashion blogs. No one knew where the path would go, but somehow we could grasp the power of the wave that was about to come. However, the perception of influencers (the term was not that common back then) was completely different and I got a lot of this looked-down-feeling. I think that was the point Imran tried to make at the beginning of the talk here.
They want to hear , what is your favourite lipstick? Kris how did you come up with the tv show kuwtk? How much surgery you all had answer none. And every other crap boring vapid question that every other interviewer has asked since 2000. Dumb people want to see and hear dumb questions. They don’t understand lkim is proudly putting her mum in her place or that she is proudly explaining how she developed her own business while looking after her mentally poorly husband who she loves and has accepted till death do them part. This is an excellent interview. Well done Kim!

I think the interviewer did a good job. The problem with why yal think he's condescending is coz you didn't understand his first question. Kim got defensive but actually his first statement was to set the tone of the interview like he wanted to showcase the world how well they've done and that they are talented business women but because kim got defensive and rightly so coz so much shit is thrown her way all the time but she didn't have to be here coz He was actually trying to set a good tone and it back fired. Also low key a lot of you guys are hating on him coz he's Muslim. That's what I'm sensing. But anyway to each his own. I think this was brilliant but to understand the nuances, you have to have a brilliant brain so I don't blame you guys who don't get it. Maybe your brilliance is different but definitely not for this.

That's the exact problem. Beginning the interview with a question that the Kardashians have answered over and over and over and OVER again was painfully futile. We've heard their thoughts about this too many times to count. It's old news that doesn't need to be hashed through again, and quite honestly it's also a fairly rude question wether people want to believe it is or not. He is basically saying to them "Most people don't take you seriously." That's not a welcoming thing to hear when you're sitting in front of a crowd of people at your exciting new pop-up shop, and frankly I think they get tired of being forced to defend their brand so often. They have "haters". So what? EVERYBODY DOES. Elon Musk has haters. The first question an interviewer asks Elon Musk isn't going to be "So remember when nobody took you seriously about Tesla? Can you talk about that?" x's 100. It was a poorly planned first question that made the interviewer seem like he hasn't done his research. The best way to show that people should take them seriously would be to ask normal, enticing questions about their brands.
everyone is so quick to judge her forgetting that this woman has been in showbiz for over 10 years. that kind of experience makes her a veteran in this business. every move is calculated and everything she posts is a marketing strategy. Kim projecting this cutesie mom of 3 with a compulsive urge to post nude selfies is her BRAND. that makes her Kim. her multi million dollar empire.
this is for all the people who enjoy discrediting her, saying things like "what is she famous for?" or "she has no talent" ..this explains how she's become successful !
BOF need better audio system/editing for their videos and podcast. The sound is not loud or clear enough compared to standard videos and podcasts. It's hard to keep up (no pun intended).

I’m so sorry but Imran is not a good interviewer in my mind...it’s like he enjoys listening to the sound of his voice more than the answers of the interviewee...BOF are fantastic, the people they bring on are brilliant and so interesting but again and again, Imran is not the best choice for this job. Not that likable either. So sorry but a person has to know what his strengths and weaknesses are. BOF will reach a whole new level if they just find someone better for the interviews. This interviewer comes across as very condescending. Very annoying to watch when it looks like he's 'accusing' more than interviewing in a neutral way.
Give Kris her credit. Kim tried to steal all the shine and the interviewer tried to say Kris wasn't involved "day to day " when she started it all if it wasn't for her the Kardashian empire would be non existent.
