Nice of Matt to help Kate on HER roadster. Lol. Significant others don't realize how helpful they truly are. What seemed like nothing to them helps the project move forward. Turned out great Matt.

On my channeled '32 , originally hot rodded in '57 , there are snaps in the wheel well that I can snap in upholstered panels at the shows and remove them when I drive it. And YES I drive the heck out of it. Also , Matt , thanks for the tip on using the larger sanding disc on the smaller shoe for getting in those concave areas. Always learning.
@tomkrisel4493
@tomkrisel4493 3 года назад
@@mattsullivan5274 snaps were used in the old days alot for upholstered pieces that were removable. Maybe velcro would do the job, now. He could run it the whole perimeter, not just at spots like snaps. Probably wouldn't have sags and ripples like snaps, also invisible.
@waynespyker5731
@waynespyker5731 3 года назад
@@tomkrisel4493 Velcro would work fine as it tightens from normal vibrations. In the late 90s our company molded a plastic test block for one of the Big Three to mount engine assessories and sensors with velcro attaching to the engine somewhere. 500 units were made for fleet customers with test bob weight of 25 lb, after a year 2 had failed. One from an accident, the other a suspension bending pot hole! Public acceptance failed it's implemention, mounting screws and bolts survived on the assembly line quest to increase output.

That's awesome, you sleep on it and then decide later if you still love it. So many times I wish I had done that because I hated the way something looked days after. Especially after I spent a whole day or afternoon working on something. Instead of welding it and then hating it later, you sleep on it to see if you still like it after you haven't just invested all kinds of time. Smart
