This is one of a number of things I like about your videos, Melissa. The difference in what an obviously professionally-trained jeweler does and what a zillion other people posting videos on RU-vid and/or teaching at the various shows and so on do is obvious - and much appreciated. Those "added little touches" are a big part of what distinguish professional work from the rest of the pack.

I knew how to make to make those findings but not with the findings that you show from your years of experience. Thank you and looking forward for your next show.

Thank you so much for this tutorial, you are so right about that added extra to the finish piece. I like them all especially using the 20gauge will and the tip on smoothing out those little dents. I will have to try that on aluminum which is so soft. I have a bracelet that I made a while ago and I have had a very hard time trying to find clasp because of the design but you have get me back, thanks again and looking forward to see what's next!!!!!!

The size depends on what you are doing. The gauges will also have an effect on the desired sizes.

(under my Sweetie's mantle) Your content and delivery Ms Melissa are exceptional. Pacing and explanation are unparalleled, thank you for educating us in such a gentle and accessible way. There is no ego or personality delivered, only pure content that is challenging for others to achieve. I am so thankful to have found. I bookmarked you leading with the word EXCELLENT. ~A fellow creator, Dev

Hi Melissa, Thank you for this video. You are a great teacher. I was wondering if you might be able to make a video about how to bend and work with triangular wire, especially the thicker kind. It is very hard to work with and I can’t find any advice anywhere on how to bend or form without it getting completely barred and ruined. Thank you so much for your consideration
@MelissaMuir

I will see what I can do. I don’t have any thick triangle wire at the moment. But I will see about adding some to my next order.

How do you clean the rust from your file?
@MelissaMuir
@MelissaMuir 5 лет назад
I think that may have to be another video. LOL. But you can soak it in white vinegar for a bit. After washing and drying it, you should apply a thin coat of oil to keep it from rusting again.
