For many applications or registrations you’ll need proof of address and sometimes they require that your proof of address not only shows where you live (for the dr’s they need proof that you live within the catchment area of the surgery you are trying to register at) but also that you have been living there for a certain period of time - often a minimum or 3 or 6 months :)
