Creating Takeoffs For New Construction 

Hire a takeoff specialist to do the hard work of estimating but ultimately you have to check their work. I did it the hard way instead of paying for a takeoff software (Which are very expensive). I will probably invest in an app at some point but I really wonder why architects don’t just give these measurements and material quantities as part of the plan delivery. I need to inquire about that and see what the answer is. You would think they drew it so they should have a count and list of components that goes into the building right? 🤔 just thought about this as I’m typing damnit. I just spent like two days working on this 🤣
