For the women of Ingoma Nshya, the gender policy in Rwanda pulverizes all taboos, lifts all prohibitions, renders all misogynistic traditions obsolete and opens the door to all possibilities. Since August 2020, the women of Ingoma Nshya have embarked on a titanic task: to correct the inequalities deeply buried in their own culture and to ensure gender equality right down to the roar of the drums, the strings of the inanga, dance steps, traditional songs, secular proverbs, tales and various narratives… For Ingoma Nshya, culture must become a culture of equality, justice, tolerance, integration and diversity… In a word, it is urgent that the Rwandan culture evolves, accompanies and reflect the changes in its society…
