Aside from the fact that this board is or isn't the "best board" in the world, I love the amount of effort that went into creating this - the research, the educational content, editing, presentation and behind the scenes process! Have always been a huge fan of your stuff since you began, thankyou for this wonderful series!!
OMG Joaquim, everything about this is amazing - the video content, editing, presentation and the boards! Has to be one of the best videos I've seen on fingerboarding. I learned so much from this video. Oh, and the boards look so beautiful! P.S. Hi Mauro!
This is fantastic. So much information. I learned a ton! Just ordered two, really excited about the free shipping from 🇦🇷 to 🇨🇦!! The board will likely be a staple in my videos going forward, as I will be uploading one clip per day. You have been one of my favourites even before the blackriver sponsorship, keep up the fantastic work. I really like your art as well.
this video is what inspired me to make my own boards and as an extend my own obstacles etc. I love the level of detail and passion you always put into this hobby. keep it up
After watching this, seeing your attention to detail, your dedication, your knowledge, your passion, your abilities, I had had to have one of your boards. I purchased the Gold 1 Year Anniversary December Logo Deck. That thing is so fricking Gorgeous (I haven't gotten it, literally just finished this video and bought it). I wanted the Gold Sun deck a bit more, but muggers already snatched em all. My birthday is in December so it has more meaning for me. Can't lie, might keep that baby in the beautiful floating package and hang it as art or something, until I can build the nerve to skate such an art piece. I'm glad I found your content. Can't wait to see your work in person. Thanks for what you do!
@@frenchmefrenchyou No, thank you. And you've got a deal. I just found out the biggest Fingerboard shop in the country with over 30+ Blackriver parks is only 2 hours away! Maybe I'll bring it there and really put it through it's paces. Thanks again, brother!
Did not know there were fingerboarders in Argentina, I've been fingerboarding for decades but don't follow the online scene very close. It's awesome to know other South American countries with a fingerboarding scene.
i was already dreaming aout my first December creation, this video just reminded me what kind of love and artistry comes with the experience. i cant wait. you guys inspire far more than the fingerboarder realm. just amazing.
gatekeeping the advice is just wrong, i get it in some sense but ive been basically just learning as i make mistakes cause no one in this community spills that much information, and to that i salute you. youve earned my sub and my respect and that board looks absolutely amazing
This video felt like a vacation! All the love for South America! I also had a hard time in high school, and cool to learn about the different woods described in the video. I think I've heard about December before, but it's definitely on my list now!
Ordered a custom C6 last night after watching this video for the second time. These boards are no joke. I cannot wait to get started on the customization process with yall!
Hey, I appreciate this upload I absolutely love this deep dive into this absolute best board possible. No joke I watch this 3 times a week since it came out I appreciate your existence, my friend.
@@frenchmefrenchyou no, thank you. I'm 26 and I feel exactly how you said you were as a kid. I was that kid who didn't talk to anybody and wanted to get home and watch RU-vid to land that dang heel flip I was close the night before and the satisfaction of purposely doing a specific trick to me, is art. This video should have at least 4m views not 4k, people are sleeping on this. And I seriously watch this like 3 times a week 😂 seriously. It's awesome and you executed it very well. One day I pray I can try some BRT's or simply connect with the community and be seen and get involved!
This is absolutely amazing. I ordered one 1/3 way through and watched the rest after. I remember in 2008 heating tech decks with a lighter to shape them and eventually discovering wooden fingerboards. I just decided to get back into fingerboarding today after being inactive since 2016. Seems like destiny I start fingerboarding the same day these drop.
If you want to have a constant pressure when pressing a board every time, use die springs with a hydraulic press. Compress spring to a certain length and there you go.
Thank you so much for such an informative video! I have been making decks for a few years now, and I think I have learned more from your video than I have anywhere else! I truly appreciate this and I wish you the best of luck!
For the final deburring of the edges, would you consider tumbling? Never tried it on wood but it works great on metals. If tumbling is too long, maybe sandblasting with a fine medium. Some Manuel labor involved but the finish is amazing
Posta, felicitaciones 👏
I’d say good enough is almost always good enough. I wouldn’t trust a mold sanded by hand as you’d be introducing error but it can work alright I’m sure. Just not precise enough for what we’re trying to achieve. Cheers!
how you made the engravings on the boards? engraved text and illustrations. and what material was used usually by companies for board tape? riptape and other companies, what materials were usually used by fingerboard companies. it's different compared to foam tape which feels like a sponge, riptape and other companies had a more adherent material, not abrasive like sandpaper type of tape but still grippy and had a humid feeling. 10:45 btw, have you heard of charcoal heated crucibles? you can melt metals in them, there was a guy on RU-vid melting metal bullets and pouring it into sand shapes to make a saber, aluminium melts at even smaller temperatures than copper and iron. i'm wondering if it's possible to melt metal to make trucks and bearings. also wondering what materials would work for wheels
Crack, este video sirve también para divulgar y mostrar a otros fuera del ámbito del fingerboard porque son tan costosas y porque vale la pena invertir en productos de calidad, gracias bro ❤🔥
amazing video! would love to see a picture of the deck's shape/mold in the webshop, as well as a description that includes width, height, and some mold details. thank you!
Your workshop is not magic to me, but I am impressed by Your passion and commitment to production. I want to make a purchase, but there is a problem with shipping to Poland. The only option available is shipping to the US. Let me know when U fix it 😌 Good luck!
wow really cool and helpful video and thanks for sharing all your expierience!! You havent talked about the veneers though, that would be my only question: how thick should they be, what kind of wood and how big do you cut them??
They're 0,5mm ;) People use all kinds of things, I mostly stick to maple except if I make a special series of boards with different wood. Maple is just what's being used for skateboards traditionally and it works a treat.
This is incredible, well done my friend! Would love to try an engraved deck! 🙏🍻 Edit: I was going to wait till after Christmas but decided to treat myself! Excited to try one for sure but more importantly happy to be able to show support! Cheers bro🤙
This is such a great video! Getting to see someone who obviously cares about the manufacturing so much is usually what I look for when buying anything like mice, fingerboards, mousepads etc. I definitely want to pick up a carbon5 one because it sounds so cool. I’m not a very experienced fingerboarder at all but I can definitely tell the difference between my two boards I bought recently. No hate, but the deck I got from Blackriver is so much poppier than my other deck from a smaller producer. He will figure things out though I’m sure.
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on the excellent work, I am a recent subscriber to the channel, but I am really enjoying all this content, I wish you much success!! Please show me how editable files are made in Fusion360? I've tried countless ways but none of them worked as I needed them to.
Sanding your edges? Think out of the box....leather working hand tools provide any edging tools for a variety of unique or standard edging in a single light pass. Old school Bradda.
Hey I’m trying to get into the finger board making industry I use to finger board when I was 9-17 I skated a couple of fingerboards from sorry - black river and now I’m getting back into it and I’m ant to be part of the contribution providing high quality fingerboards for skaters like us for a beginner who never made a finger board what some suggestions I don’t have all the printers you have but I’d be hoping to make it to wear-house level where I can have all those out into it
this is absolutely insane, i got one question though, what are the hole dimensions not for the bit size but from hole to hole, this will help so much because i am working on making my own mold
