That really means a lot. This ministry was galvanized by not only the work of Heiser but also his passing. If you follow him closely you may remember him putting out a last post or letter right before the end. I’ll never forget reading that message and how it inspired me to not only want to continue to grow this ministry but also taught me how to face death with bravery and the courage of the gospel🔔✔️❤️

I also carried, what I could only discribe as Holy Spirit awakenings to the spiritual realm before any introduction to it. I came across Dr. Hieser's scholarship, and really ministry, by chance. He confirmed what my spirit saw in part. I thank God first and all Glory is His, I am greatful to the late Dr. Heiser and carry a deeper love toward anyone who seeks God in truth and proclaims the risen and returning Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Thank you for this ministry!!

Appreciate your collection the church has been foing a sereis on genesis and youve done a cracking job collating stuff, also I would change intro slightly i would say supernatural has been misunderstood, surpressed sounds deliberate where as i think the evidence shows it was like an enlightened view. Anyway watching all yout stuff and appreciate it :) Also history matters ( a channel) says the Greeks scaled mount Olympus, just a little interesting fact

The creation narrative isn’t a great place for skeptics to start. There are answers to the skeptics that allow for the science to exist. I don’t like sharing those things as you have to believe to see it. And there is a certain joy that comes with the discovery of it that I am hesitant to ruin for people. If you’re a skeptic, God already knows it. Might I recommend you pray to him admitting your doubts and that to please if He exists to introduce Himself to you. If in fact you would like to know Him.

I appreciate all of the views shared on this site, especially, but not limited to, those of Dr. Heiser. It is clear that all the interviewees respect the ancient texts and take them seriously. I do think, however, that in the strictest sense of the words, the division between myth and story and history is artificial. Jesus surely didn’t parse words when he quoted Genesis 1 as authority on God’s ideal for marriage. And what is the average boots on the ground Christian supposed to do with it? Can’t they accept by faith what the Bible appears to teach, at least as a first approximation of the truth? And how are we to engage our culture to build the kingdom of Christ if we don’t feel that we can stand on the scripture because we don’t have the precise mind set of the many people who took part in communicating it to us? I ask this as one who has been on both sides of this discussion and have found a far more profound depth of faith in accepting the whole testimony of scripture as true.

I don't like the "us and them" hermeneutic in these videos. It's "we are right, and the others are wrong," rather than putting ideas on the table together. I think we all have some things to say.

What Dr. Heiser argues from 20:50 to 22:30 is nonsense. I greatly appreciate Heiser's work and am deeply indebted to him. But this method of justifying the cosmological paradigm of the Bible needs to be thrown out because it does far more harm than good. It appears sophisticated but in truth it vitiates faith, it doesn't build it. A thought experiment: if you discovered that there is a firmament over our heads, how would you then use Heiser's argument?

As an evangelical I find some of these arguments in this series pretty weak. 1. “God was wise not to give the scientific way He did creation. Because by todays standards we would laugh at how much He did not understand” It seems to me that Genesis gives details that expects you to take as literal. “He made the animals by their kind…but there was none suitable for Man”. It is anti-Evolution and it makes sense. 2. “The biblical authors were like the other cultures of their time and produced works that were necessarily similar”. That is like saying the today’s Christians hold similar world views are non- Christians. That could not be further from the truth. We believe that a Man was also God, that he raised people from the dead and will come back for final judgment. The world has NOTHING like that.

Well I remain in God said what He meant, and meant what He said. The bible is the inerrant word of God to mankind, the story of salvation start to finish, if God said He created the earth in 7 days I believe that. If He said Jesus is The Lamb slain before time I be!ieve that, if the bible says He will wrap up the world and recreate a new one, I believe that too. If you through out Genesis you have no beginnings, if you through out The Revelation of Jesus Christ you have no end to sin ... If God didn't mean what He said then that makes Him a liar and that means there can be no truth in Him ... If God said Jonah was in the belly of the fish for 3 days I believe that. Father warned in the end of days there would be serious corruption in the body due to feel dark deceptions, and I believe that those days are upon us. Cos if theorize Genesis then you can theorize salvation, the birth death and resurrection of Jesus, then if He didn't die a literal death then either there's no God, no devil, no sin, no accountability, no hope in this very dark and evil world. I liked Mike's understanding once, but when you question the written word of God you are on very very dangerous ground.

I’ve never seen so much butchering of the text. Talk about trying to lure people to doubt God’s Word. Is it inspired or not? Sometimes it’s inspired, other times it’s man making it up from their view? Terrible.

Hell "Sheol" שאול is the name Shaul שאול. Sheols boosom is hell. Abrahams boosom is paradise.

I loved Dr. Heiser but Genesis is the word of Yahuah. It is truth in every way, including scientifically. Yahuah does not lie. All scripture is inspired by Yahuah and perfect for correction and learning. Yahuah doesn’t need men to explain away His clearly stated truth. Where were you when He laid the foundation of the earth?

I’m not sure if I follow? Why do you see it as God trapping man here? That implies there’s somewhere else for man to go. God made earth and gave man the responsibility, duty and role to be his image on earth. To rule, reign and subdue the earth beyond the garden. The earth is a gift for man, and at the same time is the only place man was made to exist on/in. Does that answer what you are asking?

You're asking the wrong question. Heiser's whole point is that Genesis is not making scientific claims about cosmology, it's making claims about what god did what and why. The truth claim is that YHWH is the creator and he is the source of humanity, not about the physical structure of the earth or how old it is.
