This is a superb. The maps make everythiing make sense. Age 41, I'm finally understanding history classes from decades ago. I wish I could binge watch all episodes this weekend but I am supposed to get some paperwork done!

I notice that bandits always go into their loot waving crosses. Sic. Also, why is this documentary so without historical regard to the Inuit First Nations people? Are they the Red Indians? Can someone kindly explain this to me?

How exactly is Canada considered "desolate"??

The Acadians have been treated badly since. Not only were we expelled in 1755, BUT when we returned, those French who married Native women were never given real Métis status and not considered Métis by many. The rest of North America would rather the Acadians just fade away from memory

The king of France should have offered hugonaughts (sp) to resettle in New France rather than kick them all out of France.

No you don’t. Sadly. Born & raised and I’ve always loved my beautiful home… but every local is trying to leave the country. Politics and our government have us in shambles, food bank usage per month has increased by 300% … more homelessness now more than ever, no one can afford groceries anymore or gas even working 50 hours a week For the first time in our lives our farmers and Canadians who have lived here forever, can no longer afford to live here. Very sad :( beautiful country to visit though. Impossible to live here now

This by the NationalFilm board is an illustration of the bias of English Canada. It completely ignore the 1603 agreement between the First Nations and Samuel de Champlain. The presentation invensts reasons that never existed. It sound like a propaganda film. It completely ignore that the europeens wars where the nase of the 7 years war, In addition the slavery n New England was the economic strength of those colonies. Then the protection of french fort is said to be an agression!! pitifull. What does this have to do with Canada?? The title should be change to The conquest of Canada by the British. THIS is bias propaganda paid by the canadians taxes payers. A real shame.

so you grow up next to your neighbor all your life. You and him are friendly enough, wave to each other and say hi, but really you don't know anything about him. Time to change that.

Real history??? Actually it’s the opposite. This is the glossed over history written by the English victors. What you call “anti-white” history by the Natives and French is what actually happened.

@@Ellen24493 History is written, recorded, and taught as such by the ones who have conquered. Of course it's going to be glossed over. It's narrative. I didn't see where Duncan said that it was the Natives (respectfully, the Indigenous) or the French as groups running around with the "anti-white propaganda." Maybe I missed something. As far as there being a "real" history, I've lost all faith that there is one.

China? They were looking for India . 😂 that's why the term "Indian" is often used. They thought they reached India. Not China (or Orient)

You had Native American people to fight the U.S. that was why you weren't so easy to swallow as they thought only recognizing the colonial people and not the Natural people who made the bite of thorns.
