I feel like these are not original images. The aspect ratio seems wrong. Plastic information seems missing. I would love to see the original images. Thanks anyway.
I can confirm these are truly images: in those years Paul VI used to create cardinals with the stole we can see in the video, also card Wojitila is incensed by a priest with the pluvial (the assistent-a tipical tradition eliminated in 1969). Finally we can see two acolites that has got the surplice with the amice. A film doesn’t have time to prepare these details..
@@andreacarminati2610 do you have any information concerning the custom of wearing an amice with a surplice. I never was able to find anything about this, yet I have seen it on paintings.
@@polmic2572 After the council, the use of the “cotta” or “rocchetto” (for prelates - this is in italian, don’t know how ti traduce it to english) during the mass became rare. In particular for the celebration or assistance of the mass priests started use only the surplice. But surplices with the zip compared in 80’s. So until those years they used to wear also the amice. In my parish (Arcdiocese of Milan but roman rite) my parish still use to wear the surplice with the amice sometimes. I will attach also the Christmast mass celebrated by Paul VI in Florence (1966) where the acolit read the epistle dressed as we said…
@@andreacarminati2610 1. A cotta and a rochet are not the same thing, one is a liturgical vestment, the other is a part of choir dress 2. I know how the amice was used in conjunction with an alb, but I do not have any information as to why and when does one combine a surplice with an amice, without an alb.
I think that generally for God, Jesus is not important how many titles he had,how many times and how long he celebrated latin mess. God judges him on the basis of what kind of person he was and whether his life and conduct were consistent and faithful to the spirit of truth and divine love and mercy
