Beautiful work! Thank you so much for making this video. It’s very informative! I especially appreciate how you explained how to paint the designs on the glass! I can draw a bit, but don’t know how to paint very well. Your explanations are excellent! So thank you very much! Can you tell me why you have to put a layer of fine frit between the two sheets of glass? Is it so any chemicals that need to burn off from the enamels has a bit of space to escape from the sides or is there another reason? P.S. I’m a new subscriber. Love your videos!
Hi Jeanine, these are ceramic products that I'm using on the glass so the binders need to burn off before the edges seal on the glass, that's why you need the powdered frit between the layers. It holds the glass up long enough for this to happen. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for all your kind words. There are several videos on using the Color Concentrates here on RU-vid or you can find them on my website www.colorsforearth.com
Thank you for the information Paula. I’m obviously not a ceramacist so will have to look into the difference between glaze & underglaze. Thanks for your help!
