Another great idea to be aware of and practice. Perhaps we’re too focused with the rule of thirds for our composition that we’re missing out on potential symmetrical situations. I will definitely be on the lookout for these symmetry opportunities in the future. Thanks again, Ray for a great photography tutorial. Roger
Hi Roger. You are so right. As photographers we really need to let things go sometimes and always stay open to possibilities. Thanks and have a great day.
All the images are great but the third image was stunning, there’s a lot of architectural symmetry I feel really lends itself to black and white film. Another brilliant video Ray, thank you.
Hey Mark. Hope you are keeping well. I’m so happy you talked about black and white. I agree totally and in fact am really starting to create more and more b&w images these days. Thanks for your wonderful words Mark, keep well and have a really nice day.
Fabulous video. We come across number of symmetries in nature too. Most of these symmetries you talked about are "bilateral symmetries" are there other types too?
Thanks for your great teaching. I have been surprised how the slightest change in camera angle can make a big difference in the symmetry of a composition. I have to pay attention to the edges especially.
Hello Ray, thank you for your easy to understand tutorials, I love the art of photography, but I am still acquiring the "tools" it's taking a little longer than I would like, but your videos encourages me to go out and try to make some more photographs
Hi there. Thanks so much and yes, it takes years of “practice” and a lifetime of learning and experimenting to make significant headway but is it ever a lot of fun. Enjoy and the best of luck to you. Cheers!
