This excellent video convinced me PaintShop Pro will do everything I've been doing in my ancient version of Photoshop that will not install on my new computer. In fact, it looks like it will do even more, so I did purchase the product. Thank you!
Thanx, I was trouble-shooting a problem and did not realize the different screen layer mode settings to create a couple of font sprite sheets for a particle emitter. Personally I feel Corel over complicated this software with unnecessary steps to create a procedural project. thanx again your demo solved the issue toward the end
thanx for the tutorial but I can barely hear what you are saying sue to the music... I suffer with my hearing & can't always block out the 'background' sounds when they are almost as loud as your voice :( I'm so glad it stopped for the main part of the tutorial ;)
Why did you not just stretch out the gold texture layer across the whole text rather than do two copies and having to merge it together? I was following quite well until you did this, then everything fell apart as I couldn't see what you were doing with the layers.
Hey thanks for the question. I duplicated the layers in order to keep the golden textures looking small and refined. If I had stretched the one golden texture layer it would end up giving me larger textures (Which I didn't want). So it's just for the look of things. Let me know if it helped!
Yes, it's not 3D...its really a basic way of doing a bit more with Text. Some persons may find it useful when creating the main text for a flyer, ad, logo, shirt etc. Instead of a simple plain text, some basic elements and effects can be added.
