I've said it once, and I'll say it again, one of those 3, (or all of them) need to start a creative tips & tricks series! So much good info between the 3 of them that the masses could use to improve their little timmy levels -- me included 🤣 Great video 🔥
Love these tips; definitely will help me! One that I'd like to add *specific for Race/Course maps* is: **Strongly consider your max player count** A map that is played by yourself, 10 players, 20 players or 40 players etc. can change the perspective of how your map is played, especially if there are griefers. You don't want, in particular, the beginning of the map to be extremely narrow or obstacles to fit max 2-4 people when your max player count is 40. I generally go for a rule I came up with that you want, at least, 1/3 of your max player count to fit early into the map. This may vary depending on the scenario, or if body blocking is built around as an intended challenge (like in Door Dash, for example), but it's generally a rule out of many that's helped my odd race map I make.
Great video Paul! All these maps are good, you should check out my maps, too! I hope you wont regret it. Anyway, I found you (again) in a duos lobby yesterday and I freaked out!
Some other tips I have if anyone’s interested: I’d say to partion how much of your budget will be dedicated to the gameplay vs the visuals. I typically like to use about 650 budget on the gameplay and 1350 for the visuals. It’s also a good idea to make the layout of the level first, since if you do both at once and want to alter something, it’s much more tedious since you have a lot of decoration to move
im sad im not here for my contribution to the kaizo aspect of Creative 😭. W Video Though stayed all the way. One tip yall missed is experimentation. Instead of thinking about the big picture experiment, small bits can paint out a big picture for you and will result in a better Level if you approach the lvl Step by step :).
a checkpoint zone stretching to the other wormhole, and as soon as you hit the checkpoint, there’s an invisible respawn zone that makes you respawn at the other side. just make sure to block up all other available respawn points so that you don’t respawn a few times before you actually get to the intended tp destination
