I found that on the return type "True/False" if you on the description field as tried in the video here want to have a true value when the field is not empty, then this here seems to do the trick: glidefunction:position('',description)
26:43 Although you cannot use dot-walking when adding or editing a function field from a Report, function fields in general do support dot-walking. All you need to do is go to the Dictionary Entry of your function field and update its function definition.
My understanding is you just want to represent it on a report as true/false, similar to like an active field - a donut chart showing true vs false values of a particular report.
@@ChuckTomasi - that's what I thought too... but what do the inputs look like? For example, I was trying to make a function field to return true if problem_id was populated in incident. Best I could get was something to return 1 or 0. "glidefunction:divide(problem_id,32)" returns 1 if there's a sys_id reference. Returns 0 if there's no reference. Would MUCH prefer True / False. Just can't find a permutation using true/false output that works... unless I'm pre-feeding it a true/false field.
