I have Mon heritage as a Burmese mainly from my father side 😁😅😃 from Moulmein far southern part of Myanmar. My great grandma was pure Mon so I feel ashamed to say they did borrow much culture from Sri lanka (especially Buddhism) 😅.. however it is a broken heritage and neither my father or his siblings understand Mon language anymore as we identify as majority Burmese/Bamar people.
