Don't apologize. Singing straight-toned without vibrato can be used to give a nice pure and angelic feel to a piece. And you conveyed that quite beautifully.
I love this cover! It sounds more youthful and hopeful than majestic. The original definitely had that feel, but this amplifies the fact that it is just a young girl trying her best to have hope and be brave, as she keeps on believing in justice and creating a better world, with every witch slain.
That you can sing like this without vibrato makes it even more amazing! Vibrato is often used for hiding intonation problems (that's why British brass bands use it so much - it's from a tradition built on low-end instruments that needed their bad intonation to be hidden). My favorite recordings of Rachmaninoff's vocal music are the ones without vibrato, and those are hard to find! I think this recording you made is a gem!
@@LemonTeaBloops You would seriously excel at singing Pie Jesu by faure. Here is another choir that didn't use vibrato like you. The tone is so clean and angelic ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o9al6HNOgSo.html
@@LemonTeaBloops My comment's late as heck, too, but in strict violin training, we play scales against a piano with, very specifically, no vibrato so that we can't hide bad intonation. Once we actually learn good intonation, vibrato can enhance the music, but not beforehand.
Shannon, you probably won't read this, but my puppy died while this was playing on my phone and... I just couldn't help but shed some tears. Maybe of relief. It was just sung so.. beautifully and I just... Thank you, Shannon.
I was looking everywhere for this song. I heard this version but I kept forgetting the title. Also it's a very beautiful pleasant cover! I really love this song! To the ones who kept talking about the "wrong lyrics", as someone who at least grasp the composer's released songs: I know that it is late but Yuki Kajiura, the composer of this song, made these lyrics. If you're looking for the one you know then look for "Mirai", it's the Japanese version of the original. This song, "Credens Justitiam", is the Kajiurago version AND the original. Yuki Kajiura has made Japanese versions of her Kajiurago songs that's why people often confuse the original and Japanese ones.
Lyrics be the exact ones or not, this is an angelic rendition of this theme! Mami's theme is so amazing and hearing you makes my heart feel so heavy. Her fate is too tragic. All theirs are.
This is probably the most interesting cover of this song that i’ve heard. I really like the pronunciations that you used, even if they don’t completely match up with the official version
god I love this sm!! was a huge kalafina fan when I was younger and I love hearing some gorgeous kajiurago harmonies! lots of nostalgia rn 💜💜such a wonderful cover
You have probably the best female voice out of all the covers I've heard. Your voice is so graceful here, and in guren no yumiya it's so powerful!!! Amazing job! Sorry if I already commented, I'm just researching your videos...
Talk about breathing life into an already heavenly song. At first I only liked it because it was my Mami's theme, but now it's more like she's my fave because of the song lol
